Maybe the American Legion, VA, VFW or a combination of all three could look into the process and cost of replacing the plaque with all names inclusive. No doubt this needs to be corrected. Perhaps a complete thesis by Mr. Peterson should have included not only a identification of a omission and personal or documented reasons as to why it happened, but also a recommended path to making things right. Perhaps his professors evaluating his thesis should take this into consideration. Sad part is some of the comments had to be deleted, but good part is almost unanamous support to correct the omission.

Why does it take 10 pages to count two people in a household. Should be a postcard size form

On 2010 Census is about counting people, money

natcheztaxpayer, I never questioned your belief in God or Jesus. Your comments seem to point to the Catholic Community as being the sole keeper of The Pantry and The Catholic Community needing to sacrifice any resources for their own church expansion in favor of directing those resources to The Pantry. I really believe your beef is personal with The Pastor.

If we could get each member of congress to pony up $50.00 that would help.

flowerpower, I sure do not want to count on you to keep my sorry butt fed because you sure cannot do it on 60 + 50 acres. This is enough to keep you and your family fed to some degree but no reason why the taxpayer should subsidize your sorry butt so you can stay in smokes and beer while you keep a primary occupation unrelated to farming. Now the "this is my primary occupation and source of income" guy in the trenches, a different story. Check the subsidy data base. One I think is an elected politician and if so why a subsidy that is in fact welfare to him?

First of all itsmemame my username has nothing to do with what I do or did in life. A military retirement is really a annuity. I to busted my butt all my life having lost a Father before age 10 over 55 years ago. My first job was a paper route at age 11 and have worked at some job ever since and still at it. The last time I deer hunted was over 4 years ago, do not or have ever owned a 4 wheeler, scope rifle, belonged to a hunting camp. I had a small fishing boat at one time, and if a 4 year old bare bones Santa Fe is a luxury SUV I will concede you that point. I don't think you get my picture. I am not totally against farm subsidies and believe there is a time and place for them and will not deny they help keep prices in check. But you do some research of the subsidy recipient data base for our area and see if you recognize some names who are feeding at the trough. You then wonder how does someone who makes a living in another occupation and just happened to own land collect a check. That my friend is welfare in my opinion. Maybe small amounts, but then a thousand here and there and you soon have real money.
