I don't live in Natchez marinefrmntz. Of course I wouldn't be scared there, why should anyone?...Natchez is afterall such a safe place nowadays, only stabbings, robberies, etc. in almost every issue of the ND. Natchez is definantly not the same quiet, nice, small town I moved from 10 years ago! I moved to a town ten times the size of Natchez, and now Natchez has way passed us up in the crime rate. I'm not a paranoid person that needs a shrink, I'm just not oblivious to what happens in the real world. I'll end with this for you though on the welfare topic:

You are probably right...they may not be their children...I guess, I just never really thought that a person with three toddler age children would let them go off with someone so irresponsible. But nothing really surprises me anymore these days...I was freaking out in the theater the other night when I went to see Transformers, when a man, by himself sat in the corner, 7 seats from me, on the top row. (Not that there is anything wrong with going to a movie by yourself, but in this day and time it made me uncomfortable)I waited all night for him to start shooting away...lucky for me, he never did. People are just crazy these days. Thank God for people like Carter...relieves me to know that there are still normal, good hearted people out there.

If expecting that people should watch their own children makes me a bigot, then I must be one...
bigĀ·ot (NOUN:
One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.
I was only in a way joking about the welfare part...but it does say three toddlers were left alone swimming...so I just thought that it would seem that a person with the means to support that many children would have enough sense to keep an eye on them....or if not...hire a nanny!!

Cause they are probably on welfare...all those kids and not even enough sense to watch them at a pool...what kid of job could they possibly have???

If the poor child had drowned and died, the parents may have POSSIBLY been charged at that time...WHAT A SHAME THAT SO MANY PEOPLE LIKE THESE ARE GIVEN THE BLESSINGS OF CHILDREN, WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT ABLE TO HAVE THEM THAT WANT THEM SO BADLY! DHS WASN''T CALLED BUT I BET A CHECK FROM THEIR OFFICE WAS USED TO PAY FOR THE HOTEL ROOM/VACATION!

Were the grading scales changed in Natchez, like many other schools did this year? This new scale makes an A: 90-100, B: 80-89,
C: 70-79, D: 60-69,etc. if so this could be the reason there were so many???

There is a great website that our schools in Harrison County (Gulfport) use for both school/home reading practice. The website is tickettoread.com. the kids love it! You read stories/passages and answer questions earning points to decorate your own online clubhouse. My son is 7 and reads over 100 wpm thanks to the extra time he spends at home on this great website rather than playing video games. If your schools do not use it already, it is worth looking into! I

Congrats to them all! Hope they move out of Natchez...hard to stay away from the others that weren't forced to go through the drug court if u stay in the same place when you get out! Make new friends and forget most of the old! Remember only those that remembered you during this process...
