People are judged by their accomplishments. My views are formulated by what I have seen all my life, as are everyone else. Don't come on like you can embarrass me or anyone else who likes or dislikes someone so that it can make your SOCIAL PROGRAMS look like they are working!!

BenCole hit the nail on the head. His quote from George Bernard Shaw shows a moral crack in all of us. All we can hope for is for things to go right some of the time.

I don't believe it. Paul Dawes finally got Dr. Vaughn to react to the city's demands. That's something that no one else has been able to do. Hurray for Dawes!!

How do you teach these people that you do not kill each other over arguments. This is going back to cave men mentality.

wrek4ever, You caught me off guard. You said the association had Thanksgiving listed for a Friday? Everyone knows it is always on a Tuesday.

I notice here that any time someone has a different view from a liberal , all kind of hate comes out trying to embarrass people to vote their way. Name calling, racist, stupid red necks, not looking at skin color, are all some of the terms used. The residents of any city look at a candidate and make their decision on what they have seen and learned all their lives, and that is why people vote the way they do. No amount of bullying is going to change that.

Grewupnatchez. You say Baton Rouge is 90 miles from Natchez but say it takes you an hour to drive? That's really cruising!!

Natchez bear, I just re read your last LONG comment. I have to say that was a really personal attack on someone who just disagrees with you. I noticed you said that you worked on steamboats, bus tours, ran B&B's, antique shops, restaurants and even bars. That's a lot of different professions. Were you ever successful at any of them? Could that be why you have a problem with every regulatory agency in Natchez? I bet you blame them for every problem you had!!

For those with racist guilt, I wish you could have seen what what i saw in Chicago,Just a few years ago. A company picnic was taking place in Grant Park and there were two groups playing football. One group was black and the other white. Two separate games! I would bet that if that group had the same picnic in Mississippi that there would have been one game being played with all the players together. So much for the northern myth of equality up there!!
