Let's hang together and elect Chuck Mayfield. He has the experience and expertise to handle the job. But the main thing, he has been a servant of Natchez and Adams County most of his life. He knows what is needed and he has the ability to do it. Let's move forward while we can. Vote for Chuck!!!!!

Vote for Chuck! I have not lived there in years but keep up with what is going on (both nationally and in Natchez). Chuck Mayfield has been in law enforcement as long as I can remember; therefore, he has the experience to get the job done. I wish I lived there now so I could vote for Chuck. Please, please, please do not vote for someone just because of the color of their skin.

I am now on Social Security and guess what.......this is the first year there will be no raise in January. This is a slap in the face to the older citizens of this country. I worked for 47 years and paid into the system. It is not welfare!!! Some of you older African American people should ask yourselves why this is happening. It affects you too. Obama spent all of the taxpayer's money bailing out big businesses and then they are still folding because of poor management and bonuses to their top executives. No private industry should ever be saved by the government. That is not Capitalism!!!

To everyone in Adams County: Please go to the polls on Nov. 24th and vote for Chuck Mayfield. Adams County needs the experience to move it forward. Do what is best for the county insteady of trying to "make history". If you studied history, you will remember that many, many historical events were not good ones.

Sorry annuity but you don't know what you are talking about. State, county and city employees pay into the retirement system - it is mandatory- (which means that a certain percentage of their pay is withheld each pay period). The money is held and interest is drawn on it by PERS until retirement. The retiree then gets a monthly amount based on the highest four years salary and the number of years employed. We still get Social Security but guess what, we pay into that also and I know many, many people drawing Social Security checks that have never worked a day in their life. I worked about 47 years all together and earned every penny I receive from the State and Social Security each month. How many have you worked?????

Hello Clara Nell,
I did not know about the spa. We were in town a couple of weeks ago and I was looking for a place to have a pedicure. We stay at the River View RV Park when we are in town. I did not see a contact number in the article. For future use, please respond with one.

Good for you Clyde Ray! Haven't seen you in years but you always did make a lot of sense. I still remember those wonderful tomatoes and would love to see you and "Gwen Ray".

I was very much aquainted with Patrick when he was in Natchez because I was the bar manager at the Sheraton and he was there often. He never put himself above others because he was an actor. In fact, he said to me, "My friends call me Buddy". He also chose to discuss his life with his wife, Lisa, and his mother, who was a dance teacher in Houston. We spent a lot of time at the bar discussing his past and how much he loved Natchez. He sometimes treated the entire bar to hamburgers at the end of the evening in order to keep the party going a little longer. I did not know he had relatives in Natchez. That was never discussed. When the filming wrapped up, we gave him a 'going away party' in the Moonflower at the Eola Hotel. His wife, Lisa, flew in for the party. She was so nice. Everyone had so much fun.

To You Buddy, I have so many fond memories of you and hope that you are at peace in the after live. You owe me nothing but I owe you so much just for being able to know such a wonderful guy. You were 'real people' and that is what the world needs more of. By the way, I loved "Dirty Dancing" but "Ghost" is what really did it for you.
