my dad was in a wreck by dodgers some man in a flat bed work truck pulled out in front of him at 6 in the morning without any lights on and they gave my dad a ticket for it they said the same thing about him he didn't have any skid marks and something about if he would have used his brakes he had time to stop but if you can't see someone without lights how are you suppose to stop and how could they tell how close he was to the man there wasn't any witnesses the state police got to the wreck an hour after and that is who charged him the man had moved his truck and turned his lights on by then and another thing the truck caught the side of my dads jeep but they said he didn't try to stop the wreck i hope mr cockerham a full recover and god bless the families involved

to foghornleghorn i did not mean my comment in a bad way i do understand that not all bus drivers are like that my mom used to be a bus driver in natchez and i know she didn't drive like that but there are some that do and i know bus 23 does i also know that my mom made the little kids sit at the front of the bus this one didn't his first day of school he sat at the back and one of the kids was bullying him i told the bus driver about it and i wanted him to sit at the front she told me she hasn't assigned seats yet i was ok with that i do understand you can't do everything in a day but when he got on the bus that evening the big kid was doing it again ( my child fixed him) and the bus driver never knew anything about it so i guess what i am trying to say is i agree with the person that said they need other people on the bus to help watch the kids there are too many kids on a bus for one bus driver to keep an eye on

I do agree with you on that I was following my child's bus to school (he missed the bus that day) we were at the stop sign at the end of airport rd. I pulled out about the same time she did and I was doing about 65 and she was way ahead of me with children on the bus. When we got to the turn by the high school she pulled out in front of two cars coming in the other direction. I do agree too that they need lap seat belts at least my child is four and he actually should be in a booster seat (just for the record my child is always in his booster seat it don't matter if we are going next door). I never met Mr. Cockerham I did ride Mrs. Cockerham's bus though and she was as sweet as can be. I will have all the families involved in this terrible accident in my prayers and I hope everything goes well with the Cockerham family.

yeah i agree ntzmom55 this is crazy i didn't lose anything but there where alot of people that did and they need help getting back on there feet i guess katrina was a one time thing they must have gave all the money then and i bet some of the money they gave were to people who didn't even need it

ok i don't agree now yeah wal-mart may have enough money to put in generaters but it would cost a lot of money to get a big enough one to operate the whole store and on the food thing most of the time when you or whoever goes to a store and grab a bag of frozen peas and they are stuck together you don't buy them right well that happens when they unfreeze and get froze again another thing people at wal-mart can't afford all the lawsuits that they would have for the people that got sick from spoiled food so i would rather them throw it away then me or my kids have food poison
