And this comes as a surprise? I have quit going to local stores and restaurants that have this kind of help. Often the owners of the business are no better than their help. My guess is some of the owners that really don't care had old family money buy them the business and they really couldn't careless whether customers are treated right.

Walmart gets one visit a year from me to buy vitamins I can't find anywhere else in town. Most of my shopping is done online because I don't feel like being treated like trash (or ignored totally) when I go in to a business to spend my hard earned cash.

Satellite company being called this morning..... lets all thank Cableone for the almost non-existent internet service this morning. It's getting to be a regular thing with them. This might even get posted if I can stay connected long enough......

I AM going to be getting satellite.

What gets me in this town is people figuring we HAVE to put up with rude service. We wouldn't want anyone to lose their job now, would we? Maybe if a few more people lost their jobs because of their poor attitude towards customers businesses would straighten up? Oh well, guess that's a dream.

After leaving 3 voice message to be called back I've yet to hear from the woman. SHE was supposed to be contacting me. Not me trying to hunt her down so she could give me another story on how important we are to them. They had bad connectors on our lines that they finally found after I complained enough times. So we paid for premium service all that time that they weren't supplying. They don't even bother looking at the lines, right away it's the customers fault things aren't working.

As for faster service by routing my call to AZ.... they just tell you they can't figure out the problem. Their favorite "We're having issues". I'm having issues too! My service sucks!

I've also been switched over to AZ when calling during business hours. There might be local people working this office, but where are they? Try calling a specific person and you get routed to their voice mail, and they RARELY call back.

Maybe if they used the money they spend on lying commercials (about their perfect service) to FIX the problems, we wouldn't be calling repeatedly to complain.

Their newest excuse for bad internet service is 'noise in the lines'. Uhuh......

For a service that collects money regularly for their shoddy services, you'd think they could of fixed their 'antenna problem'. I've had the run around for years with them. It's a sorry state of affairs when a business like Cableone can get a way with lying to customers for years, and we put up with it. After losing channels right in the middle of shows so often lately, we're switching to satellite tv.

It sure would be nice when they print these stories if they would include an address and a phone number for the new business....

I can understand not letting people know if someone has a minor contagious disease (though I'd like to know that too). It could put the person in danger of retaliation. But to not let the public know of areas where West Nile is a problem? Common sense has flown out the window in this world we live in.

That's as bad as the city of Natchez saying the city can't afford $5,500 worth of insecticide (that will last almost two years). How much is your life or well being worth? Apparently our votes aren't worth much if politicians can use such flimsy excuses in not protecting the public.

So, before you vote this year (and next), ask the candidates what THEY intend on doing about the West Nile problem.
