The employee's portion of PERS is 7.25% and yes we do pay FICA and Medicare.

no consultants fees are budgeted out of the Rec.budget

I have no idea where the 629,856.96 figure came from.
Current budgeted expenses are $26,186,175
Expenses for 2007-08 are budgeted at $21,525,945

1. gemcull is correct. the tax on a home assessed at $100,000 would be $427.32, not $4,273.20.
2. In reference to the appropriation for recreation, the oct. 1 budget amount of $256,280 was increased to $382,756 when the budget was revised for this fiscal year. (increase of $126,476)For the next fiscal year the appropriation is $297,256. ($382,756-$297,256= $85,000 decrease from current level)
