How do you find out where your voting place is?

Thats a great idea, bayougranny! Belwood is a stupid place for the rec complex, but a great place for the golf course. Think about all the teens driving themselves to practice or games. Keep them close. A lot fewer people would have to drive to the golf course all the way out to Belwood. And the additional 20 acres would be good for the rec center too.

You know, Natchez has never been real big on doing things for its kids, especially if it costs money or effort. Now, I realize that there are a lot of other things that take this money and effort, and no doubt they are important. But there always will be these other things. So we MUST find a way. And not in ten or twenty years. THIS term, Mr. Mayor. Mike, Spanky, Henry and the gang: This needs to happen. Get private sponsors. Have bake sales. Put someone in charge of this who has energy and vision and let them go.

Don't build at Belwood. Its too far out. Does the city or county own Belwood? If so then trade it for something in town, or sell it and buy something in town. The land beside Natchez High School would be perfect. And like Mike said, it could be built in phases. Just grade it off flat and plant grass. If nothing else, we have practice fields for the next few years.

Is there any truth to the old rumors about the oil companies buying up the patents on fuel efficient cars?

This is no longer fun. It has turned into a forum for anarchy and anti-everything blathering. I used to like reading other opinions on local issues, and I still do. Only now I have to weed through the crap to get to them. You can't just skip over the posts that are crap, these posts have infected the rest of the blog like a disease. The spooky thing is that some of these people are well educated. Others are just idiots that like the anti-government rhetoric. That makes me wonder where this radicalism comes from and where it is headed. Is this what you had in mind, Kevin?

I'd like to see something done about parking downtown before more of us business owners have to vacate more buildings because there is no place for customers to park. The city needs to force downtown employees to park off the street. The parking lot in front of St. Marys used to be a public lot, but the city didn't pay their bill. So Britton and Koontz took it over. Now it is "Reserved for Britton and Koontz customers". I know I am off topic, but let this be a warning. A bigger problem is just around the corner.
