I think this is probably the same Cougar that was spotted behind Johns manville and I thought there were pics made then, I hope some fool doesn't decide he needs a new trophy because this animal was probably an illegal pet that got too big to handle and instead of contacting the correct authorities it was just "set free". My Mom lives 1 mile from Cedar grove so some concern there for her outside pets but I am sure he is long gone from this area,,,,,unbelievable reporting here looks like would have made the paper before Thursday!
Just a footnote here but my hubby spotted a solid black fox last week on Hutchins Landing Road and yes he stopped, stared in awe and NEVER thought to take a pic with his phone lol,,,,,

WELL the ND should have considered it would be needed information for a first page news article concerning a tragic death. The police dept. should make them put a post artice foot note that an ambulance was onsight and patient refused medical help offered by EMT. I am sorry but because of the lawsuit world we live in today everyone including the police should be covering their own *&^%$!

I see no where in the article that an ambulance was dispatched or that she refused help from an EMT. What I do see is the police apparently took an inebriated person's word for "I am fine I don't need medical care!" If a person is found to be too impared to drive, Should there refusal of treatment be considered a "sound mind" decision? Just Curious because if I were her family that is what I would have a hard time dealing with!

I for one am so sick and tired of this "get rich quick..let's file a lawsuit mentality" that I could scream. Yes, the Insurance company should pay 100% of the medical bills and reasonable amount for pain & suffering etc but I am sure Mr. Cockerham was not the one calling the shots as far as payouts. Also, let's put in print the amount they were seeking for all this mental pain & anguish...I agree with FIRE I hope if they are awarded any money that the judge orders it to be put in a trust and delegates how it should be spent as in education, medical, etc.....After All that poor man's family and he has been through this is just malicious!

In response to USERNAME: NO my son nor my daughter have ever been in any trouble PERIOD!! But. some members of our family have and because of the shared last name assumptions are made everyday!!! That was why I immediately concluded he was singled out because I stay in protective mode...I am a very proud parent and am blessed I have such great kids so if I feel the have been violated in anyway, you see the TIGRESS in me. I have no problem with searches, detectors, dogs, etc ANYTHING that keeps our children from becoming statistics, I only wish the ADULTS (school, home, police) had protected my family members in this way and maybe they would have stood a chance at a better life!!God Bless all you Parents, Faculty and Police officers!!!

On VHS inspection leads to arrests

Posted on February 7 at 4:50 p.m.

Well when I picked my children up Thursday I was stunned after hearing their versions of what transpired Thursday. My son was in one of the classes searched and he too was placed against the wall, spread eagle and searched. I am in my mid 40's and have never been seached. At first I was furious but then saddened because YES this is where our society is now. Our children should not have to be exposed to this in school. They will not go to the bathroom at school because all that goes on in there, they have seen other students crush ADHD meds on picnic tables and then snort it, and this breaks my heart, Don't blame the schools or the police APPLAUD them that they WANT BETTER for our INNOCENT kids. Sad part of the facts are more than likely the kids that brought the THC to school to sell was sent there by their parents because they know juveniles do not go to jail and the parents need the drug proceeds to fuel their own habits!!!! Next time you visit your child's school look around you will see more than 1 sign that says DRUG FREE ZONE....Don't be stupid....Be thankful our administration and police departments ARE DOING THEIR JOBS.....

Personally, I agree with Hank Williams, JR....I'd like to spit some Beechnut in that dudes eyes and then shoot him with my old 45...Country folks can SURVIVE!!!!!! When it comes to the Elderly and Children I show no mercy. These thugs are just like dogs once they get a taste of blood or like what they stole they will come back, I would be right there waiting with my 45. As stated above WE WORK FOR OUR POSESSIONS!!!
