Now that former Mayor West has worked hard with the legislature to get this tax approved; I would hope that this new administration properly take advantage and work to implement it properly. Too bad Mayor West is not the sitting Mayor and able to reap the fruits of his LABOR! Thank you Mayor West, some of us know how this tax came about....

Though I am a classmate of Lucinda and Beverly; My deepest condolences goes out to the Owens' family during their time of bereavement. Remember, to always look to the hills from whence cometh your help, for surely it will be the Lord's work. From your mother many lesson were learned, now is the time to put them to use! On behalf of the late Rev. Floyd Rice III's family; we offer our sincere condolences. May you find comfort and peace in his Holy Word. I am sure that you all have many fond memories of Ms Geneva as we have of our loved ones and believe they will often resurface when you need them the most. God Be With You All

After Mayor West laid all the ground work to move Natchez forward, the citizens sit down and let another get the glory. Mayor West must feel just like any other individual would feel if this had happened to them. I would like to recommend that Mayor West read "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren. Nothing happens by accident, there is something else in store for him and I really believe that everyone in Natchez will be shocked by it. You did an excellent job, keep your head up!!!!

I would like to add that Phillip West is THE BEST Mayor Natchez has ever had. Re-elect Phillip West....

I would like to congratulate the Mayor in his effort to improve our hometown. Natchez has lagged behind for so long and only under Mayor West's leadership has the town begin to turn around. Go Natchez!!!!!!!!

May God bless Chad's family; Chad was a wonderful; soft; respectful; decent young man who possess a million dollar smile. I suppose that there was a need for a another helping hand in heaven and I know that we all will miss him-God could not have chosen a better helping hand. Though I am an elderly person, Chad won a great deal of our family's respect and I am so glad that we had an opportunity to meet him and share many, many fond memories of him. Respectfully, The Charlie Rice Family

This is absolutely NO great lost. Nolan has always vote with the Republicans so I would have called him a Dumopublican. The people of Natchez should now watch Robert Johnson. He supported the Republican's Speaker's choice - so what else is up his sleeve. Be informed and watch your elected official voting record..it can be very telling....
