I would like for Kendall and the Noble family to know that I love Debra like a sister and the memories that I have will forever live on. You see for the last five years, Debra was my mentor, my confidant , my best friend and my road dog. Everyday, noontime and night time we were either in each others presence or talking on the phone. We had many secrets and experiences that only we knew about. May God forever bless and keep each of you and you all will remain in my prayers. Debra's friend forever...Brenda

God's blessings to our cousins during this time of bereavement. Rice road where Ms Emma resided was one big family. The family of the late Rev. and Mrs Floyd Rice III pray that through it all remember that God is still in charge. As a daughter, who have gone through the lost of my parent, the one thing that I learned was how to me a good mother, grandmother, close friends and how to maintain a closer walk with Thee. We love you all and pray God's speed...Love, Duck and family

I would like to say that had it not been for UNIONS there would not be 8 hour work days; pensions; unemployment benefits; sick leave; vacation times; workman comp; pensions; laws governing workers with disabilities; child labor laws, etc.-check the history books. The reason that the supervisor is required to work long hours to do what the boss dish out is because they are in bed with management to protect the company's PROFITS. City workers are service driven not profit driven and they DESERVE better than they are getting. In a right-to-work state, public sector workers do not strike but they can make a DIFFERENT in who sits in city hall.

Another fact: MASE/CWA has a membership of 3,500 state workers many in the Natchez area; 500+ City of Jackson member and over 600 MAP Head Start workers(across 10 counties) another missing fact that was given to the reporter. Google us on line and get more information.

The 'good old boy' are corporate thugs in smoke filled rooms making all the decisions without people input. The beauty of city workers organizing is that they hire and fire their bosses; by voting them in office and out of office Mr ElGoodo! It is the citizens of Natchez that should profit from city services and not those smoke filled back room deal cutters!

This article is not factual. It was never said that NAPAC was putting on anything. This facility was rented for $200. The flyers that was sent to the Natchez area never stated that. And if you would read this article on line; there are 3 anti union ticklers at the end. There is a law against any supervisor interferring with any worker joining or not joining a Union. Please attend the meeting so that you will KNOW YOU RIGHTS. By the way this is also a poorly written article.....

Now that former Mayor West has worked hard with the legislature to get this tax approved; I would hope that this new administration properly take advantage and work to implement it properly. Too bad Mayor West is not the sitting Mayor and able to reap the fruits of his LABOR! Thank you Mayor West, some of us know how this tax came about....
