JeffNatchez, I understand you're wanting to make sure that your point is made but please, send a letter to the editor and don't blog your opinion in an area that has NOTHING to do with the point that you are trying to make. I think you will be much better served if you wrote an article in the Opinion section or as a Letter to the Editor. And PLEASE, have the nerve to give your name. If you belive it, lay claim to it and don't be ashamed to put your full name to it.

I hope that our firefighters and those with the sheriff's department and police department will challange each other to see who can make the most donations in Mr. McDaniel's name. These men and women take care of their own and I hope they step up and donate for him. Donating blood truly is the gift of life.

It doesn't cost any more to go first class, you just can't go as often. Make it a "dress-up, special night on the town" and enjoy good food, fine vino and the fellowship of good friends. Then, have pizza next weekend.

WOW!! What a wonderful idea to have such a group for the City of Natchez. With a few members blessed with a true "vision for the future", they could really be a catalyst for great accomplishments for the city. It is often very surprising how much can be accomplished for a cause by persons "outside" the relm of all the politics within the city. How refreshing to have those who have "life's wisdom" take the time to share that wisdom for the better good of our city. My hat is off to you all.

Let them buiid the condo's and I don't think there will be much problem with them not selling. Have you seen the veiw they will have????? And, would you REALLY not want a person to live there just because of where they were born????? I'm southern by the grace of God but not everyone is so blessed. Their money spends just a well as mine and most likely they have alot more to spend than I do...I'm just sayin'...

I hope this puts an end to all those uninformed nay sayers who complain that casino's are "bad" for Natchez. Not only are they one of the main employers for Natchez, they contribute much to the community. I see far less "comments" in this blog for the good news. Wonder why?

I once attended a wedding at Monmouth and it was one of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen for a wedding. Natchez has much to offer and those who have never had an opportunity to see the grounds of Monmouth or visit the gift shop there, should make a special effort to do so. I was born and raised in Natchez and never realized the beauty that is hidden behind those beautiful, stately homes. I is well worth the trip and I surely sing the praises of those who have taken on the upkeep and expense that it takes to keep them a part what makes Natchez such a unique city. Congratulations and thank you Lani Riches!!

Let me start out saying that I am glad that Natchez has a casino. I remember the days when we didn't. The casino is a major employer for the Natchez area and they pay alot of taxes and have always been excellant community partners. They are the first to sponsor events for the community and are always good about donations of both time and money. To gamble or not to gamble, that is ones personal decision. It is a form of entertainment and as usual too much of ANYTHING is not good. I prefer to spend my hard earned money on my kids or grandkids but I am thankful that if I so choose, I do have the option of visiting the casino as a form of entertainment. To those poo-pooing the reopening of the casino I say, please just don't visit. For those of us who enjoy an occasional visit, we probably won't get rich but money isn't what makes one rich anyway...

Brady I am so sorry for your loss. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002. She has been cancer free for 6 years but every November when it is time for her Oncology appointment, my prayers are alot more frequent. Cancer not only effects the person diagnosed but all those who love and care for that person. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for committing to this mission. Thank you not only for this mission but for raising awareness about this horrible disease that takes away so many of our loved ones everyday and Brady, I especially thank you for raising money to fight for a cure so that more daughters can share life with their mothers for alittle longer.
