Oh the tales that could be told on that boy!! Someone needs to write a book on all his adventures.

My mother and dad were good friends with the McCaskells(Kenneths mom and dad)in the old days when they still lived in McComb. Kenneth was full of life and always made you laugh. He'll be sorely missed by all of his old friends. To his family....I'm so sorry for your loss.

picture/no picture....that is not as important a discussion as would be one concerning why aren't seatbelts implemented on school buses. If they are required in cars, suv's and trucks and your children have to be buckled up, what sense does it make for them to get out of your car (after being buckled up)only to get on the bus and not be buckled up?!!! Why isn't there an uproar over that?

My prayers are with you and yours, Sophronia. I remember how sweet you always were when we worked together in the good ole days and I know you still are. Your husband is at peace now, and I hope you find solace in that.
Blessings to you,

Just a month ago, this same gentleman (Mr. Howard Blount) responded to a 911 call at 1:00am to the house we were restoring to resell. He was there within 10 minutes and within 30 minutes there was a total of 7 firetrucks from Concordia and Tensas Parish (5 pumpers and 2 tankers)and numerous personnel...only a handful regular firemen, the rest being volunteer. People, realize these men are VOLUNTEERS...not salaried personnel that risk their lives and their families future and happiness to respond to calls in order to save ours. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for doing so. To our fire department and volunteers: You are truly remarkable people for doing what you do with no hesitation. Thank you, again.

He is the "editor" of The Church Hill Republican. He wrote it as it was under his name in there. He might not appreciate my putting it in here without his permission.

((OldGrandDad and noneya)) This may not be the place for me to post this, but I couldn't help but to want others to read this as it is pertaining to what was being commented on above. I may get into trouble with EnKiKur but what the heck. It's well worth the read:

Brothers of The Revolution Remembered
In the hearts of too young Soldiers
Do I live,
I am
Chasity;

Welcome Brothers of the Revolution
Dying on the Field.
Justice sends me here, and her sister Liberty;
There is a Reward for Brav’ry
And Thee might have it here;
Thee might have thy Fill
Of
~ me~
Chasity.

In the Church Upon the Hill
Do I live,
I am
Eternity;

Welcome Brothers of the Revolution
Dead Upon the Field.
Of Sweet Chasity
Thee hast had thy Fill.

Justice sends Me here, and her Sister Liberty,
There is a Reward for Brav’ry
And Thee might have it here;
Thee might have thy Fill
Of
~me~
Eternity.

In the Gracious Heart of God
Do I live,
I am
Mercy;

Welcome Brothers of the Revolution
Now dust within the field,
Of Sweet Chasity Thee hast had Thy fill.

With Sweet Eternity
All Thee are lying still;

Justice sends me here, and my sister Liberty;
There is a reward for brav’ry
And Thee might have it here,
Thee might lie at last
With
~me~
Sweet Mercy

mud: If you'er not part of the solution, then you'er part of the problem. Sorry you think I'm pompous, I really didn't mean to come across that way. Actually I was really answering to your demeaning attitude toward someone I stand behind. I understand your attitude concerning the drunken situation you mentioned, but really, if we as citizens don't intervene in keeping drunks off the highway,REGARDLESS WHO THEY ARE, then we are helping risking someones life! I don't think the Sheriff would mind at all someone calling in and reporting a drunk on the highway! Do you think he would rather see that person in the morgue? I think not. Yes, it may cause some embarrassment, but that's way better than the pain of losing someone through death caused by drunk driving. As for the fraud "being verified by the famimly members" were they in the voting booth to see who pulled the handle? Why didn't the family members take this person to the polls? You are so right on one thing....to smelly for me! And I DO care what you think, even if you couldn't care less on hearing the other side. I don't mind getting on here and publicly giving my view points for all to know what I think. If you think that means I am pompous, then go ahead and think that, again, that was not my intention. Have another good day.
