LaShey, I am so sorry about your mother. You are in my prayers.

Another slap in the face to the employees! How far is too far? This has gone far beyond ridiculous. I moved away one year ago, and I keep up with Natchez through the democrat online. I don't read the news every day, but when I do read, there is always something negative about NRMC.

Maybe he was already a patient one time of that particular surgeon and he did not want to swap surgeons, who knows. He has the right to choose who does his surgery. I think his wife is a neonatologist in Jackson.

I agree with Morpheus. Don't blame Dr. Weary. She is a great person and a great doctor. My children love her.

This was a great article. Thank you to Dr. Guedon for recognizing all the staff that was involved. I just recently moved from Natchez after working at NRMC in L&D. I loved my job and all my coworkers. They all are very caring and competent with their duties. I just happened to be up in L&D to visit the nurses that day while the mother was in surgery. I watched as everyone pulled together to save all 3 babies. I was very proud of all of them. To everyone at NRMC L&D and nursery I want to say I miss you and I love you all!!!!! Erinn

The article states Mr. Phillips has met with hospital staff, but I can assure you, I work there and I have no clue who he is. The hospital has not told us anything that is going on. It sure would be nice if he would at least introduce himself to the employees.

Yeah, Natchez Democrat. Why don't you stop offering any benefits and see how many loyal people stay working for you. The article was a low blow to the hospital employees. Well, I'll never buy a subscription to your paper, that's for sure. You know I probably couldn't afford it since my pay was cut and now when I retire you don't want me to have my retirement that is due to me.

What else is the hospital going to take from us? Let's see...I already have to work through my 2 fifteen minute breaks almost everyday I work. Some days I don't even get a lunch except to hurry and eat at my desk while still answering the phone and dealing with call lights, etc. This is an outrage to take the only thing left NRMC had to offer that was worth working like a dog with understaffed areas and all while taking a pay cut. Just because management could not manage money. Who is going to staff the hospital when everyone leaves? I hope there are some prospective students graduating in May that can work in specialty areas and other high risk areas right out of school.

I was around 10 years old when The North and The South was filmed in Natchez. I, too, was an extra in the film and I can vividly remember meeting him. David Carradine, too.
