It is clear in the Bible that Christians are to gather together. These gatherings are to show solidarity and we are to pray at these times. Furthermore, Matthew 6:6 has been taken out of context in these posts and is irrevelant to this event.
Thornhailfly, I'm so sorry that your son feels the way he does. I can tell that he is passionate about his beliefs but does not have all the facts. He should research all the facts of both sides before making his judgement. But there are some that will never believe the truth simply because they choose not to. It seems that your son may be one of those peole.

I am totally against the so-called stimulus package because it won't work and our great-grandchildren will be paying it off. But because of its passage there is nothing more we can do about it. At least some of that money will come to our community. The grant they are speaking of is going to law enforcement but the police jury may get some too. Comrade Obama said some was going to fixing roads and infrastructure. Of course, that could have been pandering.

They have to work for months to get the evidence necessary for the roundups. Then the judge lets them all go. Then they work for months again to arrest the same people.
