I think it has more to do with the specifications called for by the Parish not the contractor as to why the roads in Concordia are not lastng.
D&J Construction built our road this past spring and it's already craking too.(thats less than 7 months) The heavy corn, rice, and soybean trucks haven't even started hauling yet, and the cracking pavement can already be seen up, and down the road.

Way to go Bobby, my hat goes off to you and Neil. You did the right thing, Let the people vote for a raise for our legislatures. That was a terrible thing our legislatures did giving themselves a pay raise so large, and then not passing the bill for supplemental pay for our law enforcement, and firefighters. We want forget how you voted Andy come next election time!!!

I bet those mowers are heading to some big city where some of our South of the border neighbors have a lawn service.
This is happening all the time in places like Houston and Orlando, it's big business to steal equipment for lawn service, and then sell somewhere else to your friends.

I think that's the best thing that could happen in Ferriday was Madison walking out. He sure made a bad name for Ferriday with all his thugs working the speed traps collecting a toll for passing through town.
Maybe he will get a job watching over the motor pool at the parish prison, looks like someone needs to be watching that place

I wish in my Job I could vote on my own salary. Anders knew going in what he would be making.
Way to go "Quest" good comment!! I agree 100% with you. Give the teachers the big raise and throw the bone to the law makers is the only change I would like to make in what you said.

Maybe the Attoney Generals office will get wind of this. I would certainly think Mrs Lloyd's vote would be a conflick of interest.
My hat goes off to Mr. Harris.

Oh Yea they do it else where OldGrandDad and it just makes me sick. Why should I have to pay for a convention center. The money comes out of my pocket and I've never been to convention centers during my travels . But yet it cost me around 50 dollars each month to pay this toll for staying in these locations, but lucky for me sometimes I am able to plan my stays and I usually try picking locations that "DON'T HAVE HOTEL TAXES", so not only do they not get the tax money from me they don't get the chance to sell fuel, dinners, and anything else I might need during my stay.
Again why can they just not charge more at the door for the folks that want to use the convention center, and or charge the vendor more, don't make someone that's not using the center have to pay for it.
