The white brick 2 story structure on a main throughfare that should have been condemed years ago and torn down, but is left standing, with a gaping hole in its side and a balcony ready to plummet and injure/ destroy an innocent bystander/ vehicle...
ok, I give, where is this structure?
Unless you are talking Arlington? Give me a break. Hardly a main throughfare, and definitely far enough off said road as to pose no threat to people unless they are where they should not be. Sounds like you have your own little axe to grind here.

2008....I hope the mother who lost her honor roll child in Chicago does not read your crass statement:
"They also said stuff about not wanting their children beaten to death with sticks in the Chicago streets"...they who? So keep your kids off of the streets!
Her child was beaten to death with sticks while trying to walk home from school.
Natchez is in no way as bad as Chicago!

Most women do carry an effective tool with them....their car keys. Always walk with the key running along your finger....both sides will cut when aimed at the correct spot...alongside the neck, across the wrist. Failing that..jab for the eye. If you notice anyone suspicious as you approach your car, hit the panic button. Better to attract attention and apologize if you are wrong to worry.
But when confronted with a gun in your face, throw the purse. Live to earn another dollar, another day.

Ben, instead of trying to find the time to write right now, rely on the video camera and a tape recorder. You can write a lot when life slows. With the tapes, you will have all the reminders of what it is you need to record for him to remember later.

Why not train Louisana workers to build the houses at a plant in Louisiana. It can be done here much more economically than in California, so the houses would be more in line with what the former ninth ward residents can really afford. The added jobs benefit, along with the taxes earned from the material costs would greatly enhance the recovery effort. Thank you, Mr. Pitt, for your help.
