Shhhhh, don't tell the D.C. crowd. They will want to do something to "improve" the success.

If you don't vote, you deserve exactly what you get.

Vitter has my wife and my as well as many of our friends/neighbors votes. His personal life may not be what we would like, but his position on most (99.9%) of what is coming out of D.C. is right on with us. Wish we could say the same for Louisiana's other "senator"; however, we can't. We don't see where Vitter has cheated on his taxes or gotten caught with shady/special interest deals like some of the other weasels in D.C. (Wrangle, Dodd, Franks, etc). We just hope there are enough in D.C. that have or can find the backbone to stand up to all this goofy liberalism until 2010 elections, and then, hopefully enough responsible and informed voters will get off the couch and undo much (to ask for all is a bit much) of what was done in the 2008 election. Now, before folks get their hackles up - it makes NO difference if these weasels are Repubs/Dems/short/fat/tall/white/black/yellow/green - if they are out of touch with the folks back home, they need to go.

Petitions more times than not are not worth the paper they are printed on. What politicians are beginning to understand (I hope) is that citizens might now just be beginning to wake up and are telling them directly to do what is expected or they will indeed be held accountable. No petition carries a message like a direct contact.
On Have you signed a petition in favor of voter identification?

My Goooodness folks. I agree with #1 comment: "That's a LOT of "No's" up there"; including mine. However, let's ask the number 1 question: IF most citizens are indeed fed up with what's going on in D.C., what can be don about it?? Posting on blogs is NOT going to make things change. How many have let their ELECTED Congressweasel KNOW that you are against/fedup what is going on???? Until each and every one of them truly knows that they will be held accountable for what they do or don't do, they will continue to play the electorate like they have for years. They are counting on us to have short memories and believe them when they come back home pandering for votes. It makes NO DIFFERENCE whether they be Repubs or Dems, they all play the same game. So, take a moment, take your individual comments from above, put them in an e-mail to your THREE (two Senators; one Representative) congressweasels in D.C. Otherwise, hold on - you will soon no longer be living in America, but you will be living in AmeriKa.

If I want to keep living in my house I pay them. I am not one of the "leaders" who "forget" to pay taxes. I've always been told that there are two things you can't avoid (forget?) - death and taxes. Wonder if our "leaders" will "forget" to die???

Yep, parents were wondering when the "babysitting" would start back up.

Everyone wants a job, but once on the job, the tendency today is for the worker to tell the employer what, when, how, and if he/she will do the job or show up. Then, what is left for the employer - not much. Can't fire with a stack of paperwork, political correctness, and on down the line. Too easy to stay home and live off others.
On Do you think the Miss-Lou’s workforce is skilled enough?

Could one constue this as the beginning of rationing health care - think about it. If you advise someone that they don't "need" health care services - there is no cost. Look for more of this type "advice" coming if health care passes congress.
On Do you agree with the news this week that women should wait until age 50 to get a mammogram?
