OMG I am reading your comments and I can not belive that you are convicting this kid before the test are done to see if he really did this. You need to ask yourself where is the proof that he did this. Did this teacher go to the hospital and get check to see if it was in her blood system, or did she just get the flu. If he really put Visine in her drink it would show up in her blood system or is she just a drama queen looking for attention. Before some one leaks out this story sounds like they would have waited for the facts and lab test to come back before throwing this kid to the wolfs. Also I raised 3 kids and it make me sick that there are people out there that are so easy to blame the parents for a poor choice that a kid makes. I say until you hear the facts about this the lab test, and other information. Don't be to quick to throw this kid in jail for life until you hear all the facts. It sounds like the deputy sheriff you have there is trying to make a name for himself and is ready to throw a young man to the wolfs before the facts are out. Just think if your kid that did this. You would want a chance for the facts to come out before people were ready to kill him or throw him in jail. For one moment put yourself in the parents shoes and stop and think how you would feel if you were them. Just think how heart breaking this must for them. If this is untrue I want to know what is going to happen to this teacher, will she go on teaching the kids or will they throw her in jail. What about this sheriff deputy that has leaked the story to the press before the facts are out. What kind of man is he? I sure would not want him in our town. There are lots of drugs and crime to keep him busy. Please don't judge this kid before you know the facts? Let them come out and then decide. If he really did this then he should face the music and take the punishment. I think people need to clam down and wait for the facts. Also there are alot of wonderful teachers out there and we need them. But there are some teachers that we have seen in the news that have made very poor choice's. After all this is America aren't we innocent until proven guilty? Appears to me that this child has been tried and convicted by the media.

destiny .... yes, I am A parent of three, but not HIS parent. I have worked for the local school district for many years and know what teachers go through ... but also, I'm a parent and I see what parents go through. There are kids who have no respect for anyone and make it hard for a teacher to do their job, but their parents don't usually back up the teacher, but would rather side with their misbehaving little "angel." THAT is what makes me angry about this story - people are convicting this child on heresay ONLY. Are there witnesses to this so-called attempt at MURDER??? Please, all I'm asking is that you all wait for the facts before you convict him. He deserves for the adults to act like adults and wait for the facts to come out. After all, this is 2008 - isn't this why we have a justice system and not a "hang-em' high" without due process? Have a nice day :)
