As long as the political system has "slop troughs", our elected should participate in the root hog scheme. I suppose that is the reason the funds are called "pork"!

To think of ourselves as a pig/hog at the trough is not a very pleasant thought.

Rentech's Synthetic Fuels and Chemicals Facility in Colorado Mechanically Complete

First Production Expected End of June 2008

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 14, 2008--Rentech, Inc. (AMEX:RTK) announced today that all systems required to start-up the Company's Product Demonstration Unit ("PDU") in Commerce City, Colorado are mechanically complete. Commissioning and start-up of the facility will commence over the next few days.

The PDU is designed to produce approximately 420 gallons per day of synthetic fuels and chemicals including ultra-clean diesel and aviation fuels. Initial production at the facility will be focused on producing jet fuel and specialty chemicals from natural gas. As gasification is added to the PDU, fuels and specialty chemicals could be produced from a wide variety of biomass and fossil resources.

The Company expects to produce syngas at the PDU in the next few days with the balance of the facility to be started-up sequentially over the coming weeks. First fuel production at the PDU is expected around the end of June upon the successful operation of all equipment and processes. Rentech's PDU will be the only synthetic fuels facility operating in the United States.

D. Hunt Ramsbottom, President and CEO of Rentech, said, "Achieving mechanical completion at the PDU paves the way for the imminent production of clean synthetic fuels and chemicals at the site. We are excited about our potential opportunities with prospective customers, licensees and partners once we begin providing testing samples of our fuels and chemicals."

Kpage, we must be kin somehow or someway.

"I am bored" is not a phrase that you used around my parents, either. I mean they could come up with a project faster than Superman, Wonder Woman, Speedy Gonzolas or before Quick could get Ready! :o)

But you know, I was just a bare foot country boy. I, generally, could find something interesting to do. It might be hunting with the BB gun, fishing on a farm pond, playing sand lot baseball, shooting the basketball, visiting with the neighborhood kids, etc.

I suppose those were the good old days, but I hope the good old days are ahead of me and not behind.

I assume that the hospital board and the CEO shared some details of the restructure plan with the bankers. What did the hospital tell the bankers to give them a warm, fuzzy feeling about a "temporary" loan when the hospital is currently losing $3 to $3.6 million a year?

It is a shame that the same detail was not a part of this article.

Drawpointsing,

"Preaching to the choir", "preaching to the chorus", and "preaching to the converted" all mean the same thing, that the people you are trying to convince already believe in what you are saying. Example: "I agree with you entirely; you are preaching to the choir." You are "preaching to the choir" when you talk (preach) to people to convince them of something they already believe. Example: "Don't just stand there preaching to the choir; get out and find new members!" The members of the "choir" play the music, while those in the "chorus" sing along, as the preacher preaches to change (convert) the non-believers into believers ("the converted"). People tell you that you are "preaching to the converted" to let you know they support your idea; they also might be saying you don't need so spend so much energy to make them believe what they already believe. Example: "You don't need to tell me this project is important; you're preaching to the converted."

"to try effect change" should read "to try to effect change".

In the past, if citizens could not the get the attention of their electorate/officials, they have formed groups/associations to try effect change.

Hopefully, this is the intent of the Committee for Better Public Education!

We definitely need a better public school system. It should be so good that the private schools in the area go out of business.
