Please, come teach for a year; then blame teachers. We long to teach, but paper work, discipline, and lack of parental help at home makes it very very hard. 95% of teachers want success for every student, but you can not even begin to imagine the problems we have to struggle through just to teach a day of lessons. Our schools are just a reflection of our society. I believe Abraham Lincoln said that first. Please understand, teachers as a whole are not the blame. There are a few bad ones as with any profession, and these teachers seem to mark the peofession for the rest of us . Just one more problem drowning us and our profession. Most teachers are overwhelmed, frustrated, and our dream of teaching is very different than what we dreamed of in the beginning, but we stay because we love our students.
