Let's go ahead and start planning the Biscuit Festival so all the fat chicks can compete for title of Biscuit Queen.

I have not personaly seen the dead vegetation on Homochitto Street but I have seen the guys that are now doing the herbicide applications for the city and they seem to be very unprofessional both in their tactics and their equipment. Any spraying that would have been done on city roads would have been for Bermuda release(taking out any competing vegetation so the Bermuda will take over). Obviously the herbicide was applied at too high of a rate. If this is the cause, the applicator is the one responsible. There are strict label rates that are to be used for every situation and if these rates and were exceeded the applicator could be in serious trouble.

How dense does a person have to be to not have enough sense to reach over and buckle their seatbelt when they drive up on a roadblock?
I wear one everywhere I go but I don't think the government has the right to tell me to wear it. Same with helmets on motorcycles.

Vidalianative. That is just ridiculous. Everyone knows that a Miss White USA contest would just be racist.

In all my years of going to bars and such places, I have always wondered why girls always try to break up a fight between guys. Nothing good ever comes of it. They just end up getting hurt. Even though the 2 guys should not have been fighting, it was the women's own fault for getting hurt. Put yourself in a man's position and expect to get treated like a man. I am not condoning any of this, just stating that these two women were hurt because of their own desire to get involved in someone elses business.

Unless of course it has floated up in some backwaters.

How is one still "not accounted for". Seems like a plane or helicopter should have been in the air first thing this morning. Also, what about other barges traveling the river. You would think they would notice an unattended barge floating south.

The story clearly states that a loose barge struck the bridge. That means that the barge was already loose before it struck the bridge. I don't think there is any way a loose barge is going to float upstream, especially the way that the river is rolling right now. So looking at it with a little common sense, I would say that the Isle was in a whole hell of a lot of danger. Do you people even comprehend what you are reading?

Which is better, having all the drunks in one location downtown or having them driving all over the city and county because they have nowhere else to go?
