I commend Dr. Stubbs and all who worked diligently to get tort reform passed in MS, however, all of their work will be for naught if the Obama-Pelosi-Reid health care plan is passed. Physicians will be, in essence, working for the government. Not only should tort reform be nation wide but we all must fight to block government takeover of the system.

natchez 1, Why should "the Catholics" be concerned with protestant history when the protestants WEREN'T??? I agree with speakup, that was just plain stupid!!! Either go to bed and get some sleep or have a cup of coffee.

Don't fool yourselves for a moment, folks. Doc knows every move that is being made by the city regarding his property. If you had any dealings with him when he worked here, you understand that he is a fruitcake and there is no rational behind his actions.... or in this case, inactions.

Poor, pitiful, petty mrbobo. If you couldn't give credit where credit was due, you should have kept quiet. The man is out there doing a great job. Would you have gone into that house to arrest an accused murderer? And if you would, would you have been so brave... or stupid not to have worn a vest? Your suggestion that this was a staged photo op is just plain ridiculous.
Not one of the men seeking the office of sheriff deserve the kind of comments you made about officer Godbold.

If this is the general consensus, WHY was she fired???? Doesn't seem like it was because she wasn't earning her keep or the position wasn't necessary. Go figure!!!

In my line of work over the past 30 years, I have seen all but one of these men in working mode... investigating crimes and making arrest, etc. They all are/were good officers. The only one I have consistently observed to treat all people fairly is Chuck Mayfield. I have never seen him be disrespectful to anyone!

I remember working with Barry at Jeff Davis Hospital many years ago when he was a med student. Everyone knew that he was one of the sharpest around. His dad was so proud of him and I know he is smiling down on him now. Good job, Barry!!!
