I used to live on Creekbend Rd and could not get DSL. The Bellsouth agent I talked to at the time said the cost of installing updated lines in those neighboorhoods was too staggering compared to how many people would actually pay for the service once it was in place.

I agree with Natchez_Writer. Such an important contribution to the Mississisippi River History deserves to have someone take it and care for it, make it still readily available to the public. In my humble opinion Vicksburg, Natchez, or New Orleans should be the obvious choice to moor it, but who knows what it would cost the city to do such a feat. But if that action were possible it could be brought before the general public to see if there is interest in it.

Years ago, Natchez played host to film crews on a regular basis, but the most recent feature film shot here was in 1996, city media liaison Sally Durkin said.
Does anyone remember the film The Ladykillers? Parts of it was filmed here in 04. It was a movie about an eccentric, if not charming Southern professor and his crew who pose as a band in order to rob a casino, all under the nose of his unsuspecting landlord: a sharp old woman. It starred Tom Hanks and Marlon Wayans.

It seems to me the world would have a better selection of candidates if they were only allowed to receive in contributions and spend up to what they would make in one year in the position they are running for.
