I was someone who participated in the block party at Providence Park sponsored by Parkway on Sunday. The park was nice, although the grass needing mowing.

Parkway was there to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with whoever showed up; Black, white, green. It didn't matter. Jesus died for ALL people!

I saw a Male Natchez PD officer place him in the his car Friday evening at the corner of highland and the service road. I didn't see if he was cuffed or not, so I don't know if he arrested him or not. Wonder what happened between Friday evening and Saturday morning?

To Be acruate, the phrase "spare the rod and spoil the child" is often incorrectly attributed to the Christian Bible. It does not appear there. It was first written in a poem by Samuel Butler in 1664.

The Bible does speak of the importance of disciple. Proverbs 13:24, Proverbs 19:18, Proverbs 22:15, Proverbs 23:13, Proverbs 23:14, Proverbs 29:15 and Hebrews 12:6-7.

The difference between abuse and discipline is found in a 4 letter word - L O V E. As a parent I discipline my children because I love them and want them to learn the consequences of their actions.

Ok, let me way straighten out a few things. I am on the board of directors for the Adams County Red Cross.

Yes, the Adams County Red Cross does not have a director. However, there are several very dedicated volunteers who are on call 24/7 to help those in need. All anyone needs to do is call the Adams Count Red Cross and their call will be returned. The Adams County Red Cross helps those in Adams, Franklin, Jefferson, Wilkinson, and Amite Counties.

The Red Cross was at the fire scene and was making preparations for assistance (opening a shelter and financial assistance) when they were told that their help was not needed.

The Adams County Red Cross has given thousands of dollars in financial assistance in just the last 3 months. The Adams County Red Cross no longer receives money from the United Way of the Misslou, but is only supported from the donations of each of us in the Natchez Area.

Do you want to help people like the Marvels? Volunteer and/or donate to your Adams County Red Cross!
