I am so sad about this. He is a beautiful child. I worked with Dr. Morgan a few years ago, and absolutely loved him. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you....Much love, Sandra Guida

I have no idea if it was a good parade or not!! But...I was coming from Ferriday and had to take a child to Myrtle street. I was re-routed at the Mobile station but was told (by a police officer) that when I returned they would let me "dart" down to Wal-mart. When I returned, one officer said I could go the other said I had to wait til the parade was over. Guess What??? K-Mart got $468.92 from me that Vidalia Wal-Mart would have gotten had I been able to get there. From what I understand, the parade did not even come down as far as the Wal-Mart!!! SO SAD!!! :-(

Ms. Lynette....I have experienced these little summer camps that you do, and I think they are great. BUT, I think you might want to reconsider this idea...keep the fun outside. I'm afraid the Arcade will get TRASHED!!

This totally insane. There is no reason in the world why the town of Ferriday should pay for his "going out" party!!
Glen, as incoming mayor, I hope that you are maybe trying to do something to stop this. If not, there probably won't be any money left come July!!!
On Should the town of Ferriday pay Mayor Gene Allen's way to Las Vegas for a pageant?

“You might get in situations like we have at Ridgecrest School where you get one classroom per grade, but as a general rule we have more room to absorb more students,” he said.
But as a "general rule", if we keep "absorbing" students, we will eventually have to provide more space for them...which also means hire more teachers. You are not doing the teachers, much less the students, justice by having 30+ students in one class...especially if it's in the 4th or 8th grade, where it is crucial that they do well.
