oops. My heart is broken over the loss of this beautiful child. It's really sad when the drug addict mom was taking better care of the child than the people that DHS took them and gave them to.

BonTee I can see that you being an OB nurse does make abortion really hard for you to stomache ( I agree, somewhat) but that has nothing to do with this story. My heart is broken isn't over the loss of this beautiful child.

I did the math and if these people are actually putting in 15 hours a week they are making about $18.00 per hour on average at their current pay. That is more than most of us make on our regular jobs. What makes them think that they actually DESERVE more than that? What ever happened to serving your community because it was the right thing to do?

I live less than a mile from where both of these individuals claim to have seen the cougar as of yet I haven't spotted it but I do appreciate them reporting it. I have young children and pets, and I will take extra precautions to keep them safe.

Maybe our supervisors and mayor need to contact Hyram Copeland and the supervisors over there in Vidalia to get a lesson on how to get this stuff done.

The people have spoken and now we are all going to be dealing with that choice. I just want to remind you that God allows the people to have what they want sometimes even if it isn't what HE wants for us. " Israelites' demand for a king, as recounted in the Book of Samuel:When Samuel grew old, he appointed his sons as judges for Israel. The
name of his firstborn was Joel and the name of his second was Abijah, and they served at Beersheba. But his sons did not walk in his ways. They turned aside after dishonest gain and accepted bribes and perverted justice. So all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah. They said to him, "You are old, and your sons
do not walk in your ways; now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have." But when they said, "Give us a king to lead us," this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the LORD. And the LORD told him: "Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected Me as their king. As
they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking Me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do." Samuel told all the words of the LORD to the people who were asking him for a king. He said, "This
is what the king who will reign over you will do: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots . He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. He
will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. Your menservants and maidservants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use. He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day."

Guess we're about to see what the Isrealites already learned.

As a non smoker with asthma I can understand why banning smoking in public places is a good idea. When I go to the grocery store down the road from my house the workers on break are all sitting around smoking just outside the door some times its so strong it takes my breath away. But I believe that the goverment is already WAY TO INVOLVED in our normal every day life. The more we allow them to step into our personal lives the closer we are getting to a socialist goverment and I just DONOT want that.

On Now is the time to ban smoking
