Oldgranddad,I wanted it several years back. But now it's too late for my children. It had nothing to do myself (the adult). Maybe it could be possible for my grandchildren. What work would you like for 5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12 -13-14-15 year olds to do other than chores? I don't think the job market is too great for them now

It is a need. A need for the youth. Recreation, sports helps keep them off the streets and out of trouble, away from drugs, alcohol, and crime.

A recreation complex is needed for this area. It does bring money to your town, not only for the complex but for the retail shops, gas stations, hotels, and the food industry. We have to invest in the future of our youth. If you travel to Hattisburg, St. Fransville, Baton Rouge, Meridan you will see they have invested in their youth.
My children have played for tournament teams and All-stars both baseball and softball for years. In a weekend we can easily spend $300. If we stay a week we can spend close to $800-$1000. You have hotel rooms, gas, food, and shopping. We may go without a vacation, but that is how we choose to invest our money: in our children. A complex should have been built ten years ago. So many life lessons are learned from sports. This community really needs to have a little faith.

It does speak volumes! NRMC is getting back on their feet and doing good. People like to kick you when your down. I'm sure now they have found someone else to pick on!

Something at some point and time has been done right at NRMC. It has been there for nearly 50 years! NRMC is turning around. Good things are happening there. Excellent care is given and people are wanting to work there. Dr. Stubbs is an excellent physician and has played a hugh role in its turn around. He himself would be a great CEO. Maybe he will put his appplication in for it! He cares about the patients and the staff and what happens to the facility.

Last I remember a tax assessment was based on size of building, amount of cement (parking lot) etc. How can you compare atkins lumber amount of tax to stine? Of course stine should be more! Just look at the property!

The board of trustees are appointed by the board of supervisors. Phillips needs to pack his bags and head on back home. The hospital should take one fourth of his salary and pay an independent CEO. The hospital does not need a management company to once again screw us. The worst thing that could happen to the county would be to sell the hospital. It is going to take the current employees to pull together and bring the hospital back up to par. There are great employees there who do give excellent care. This community needs to stand behind this hospital. Just come visit for yourself walk around talk to the staff.

This letter was the typical, low down character of NCH, their CEO and some of the ED staff. The letter talks of their concern of "continued recurrence of unstaffed physician shifts in the ED at NRMC"...but yet they give one example of complete untruth and a rumor that was completely unfounded and probably started by some of their own staff. Tacky...Tacky...Tacky. The only thing NCH cares about is the dollar $$$$.
