thetinman..I for one call B.S. on that machine. Look at the Awg of the wires that they are using on that machine. There is NO way that wire could carry Enough current to run a house. Granted I didn't see the entire machine, but from what I see there is no chance. They may have more cable on the underside of the unit. IF THIS IS TRUE. $5000 dollars would be a steal. But you are gonna need lots of electrical current and amperage to run a house.

Are they going to play the hits that they are known for? Or will they play mostly New Christian music? If they would play there hits from 1990-1995 that would be a good concert. I hope they play some of there old stuff.

Luvurboy, in the big scheme of things that band 8 miles down the road has been, and always will be that band 8 miles down the road. Why not concentrate on being a WELL ROUNDED ALL AROUND BAND. Say you play " Land of 1000 Dances"...Have the drums so tight that it sounds like they are perfectly in unison with each other. The horn section so loud and clear that the people on the visitor side have to stand at attention and respect your brass section. When you march onto the field do so in such a precise way that your shoes cut the playing field when you do a turn. That my friends is what a band member should strive to be. Don't settle or strive to be like the band 8 miles down the road....Strive for Precision..Strive for Superior performance. Being in a band is not about jiggling and wiggling around. How well do you play your instrument??? How well do you sound?? Could you get that First chair postion? All around abilities is where it is at.

First off. As far as the kids go. I understand how much work,sweat and tears go into being in a band. I am no way putting down the kids. The kids are doing a positive Job just being in a band. BUT.. The kids are being led in the wrong direction. Kudo's to them for practicing everyday. That is what they are suppose to do. I am talking about this hip hop dance around and wave your hands over your head, back bend approach to actually playing BAND MUSIC...THELORAX your child is doing a great job. I'm not putting these children down. But the whole "Trying to emulate Alcorn State university band" crap is played out. Why in the world would you people think that this is entertaining?

Seriously. People don't want to see stuff like that at Vidalia High School. I sure don't.
You guys wonder why the band is so small. Go back to traditional band music and concentrate on being Superior like the Vidalia Band was in the past. You will be respected ALOT more.

Ashleycook09 your band looks like a bunch of imbeciles. Mrs. Lewis needs to study who built the foundation that WAS the VIDALIA HIGH SCHOOL BAND, Mr. Bassett. Mrs. Lewis trying to emulate some no talent SWAC wannabe bunch of Ya Hoo's. Come on Mrs. Lewis stop leading these children in the wrong direction. 90% of the Faculty at that school think that all that Loud Speaker introduction junk is exactly what it is junk. Start by teaching the fundamentals of music. Not some Hip hop junk. People don't want to see some high school kids out there dancin and gyrating around like a bunch of adult entertainers. Trust me..... Go back to the basics. Teach the fundamentals of music. Sorry to be so harsh, but enough is enough.

Did they kill the gator? Hell they could have let it go right down the road at the Refuge. Thats what happens when humans start building close to these creatures natural habitat. They start seeing them more and more. Progress sucks.
