whatever ...please do not quit reporting this mother to DHS; call Jackson and report it as an emergency. Call the sheriff's dept. and ask to speak directly to a deputy and let them come check on the child; you can do this all anonomously with no questions asked. The mother you are speaking of needs to have a case started against her immediately.

BOBCAT1974, I am so sorry for your loss of your father. I also knew DeMarie in school, so I must have known you too; (all the way from Montebello to SNAHS) and I would like to say "THANK YOU" for putting your differences & feelings aside and being a part of the blood drive; to me that makes you the greater person. I am in another state so I am unable to donate blood for Mr. Jerry; but I would if I were there.

natchezsouthside you are absolutely an idiot for placing your comments on this page. You do not know what you are talking about concerning the US blood supply & transfusions.
Hopefully this blood drive will help save someones life.

Congrats on your addition to your family. Please let her grow up knowing what a wonderful place the United States is and how lucky she is that you are in her life and how lucky you are that she is in your life.
God Bless.

sayitloud...the main "nut-house" is actually in Mississippi...it is called Whitfield...maybe you should go check it out..especially the one area for the "criminally insane". I had to take psych nursing classes there for practicium, believe me it is the worse of the worse.
Before you start making "snide remarks" about an area in a state, you need to look in your states "back yard".
I grew up in Natchez, and believe me, there are a lot of "con artists" there too.

I truly worry about the elderly; because they will be worried about the electric bills and will not turn on an a/c; fans do not help in this type of heat; fans only "blow" hot air around. Of course some elderly do not even own air conditioners, because they can not afford to buy them. The electric companies should not be allowed to charge the elderly an outrageous amount for their electric bills due to the heat. Instead of spending so much $$ to rebuild an "old" theatre; that $$ should be used to help those that do not have $$ to pay their electric bills, because people can die from this kind of heat. That is my opinion, for whatever it is worth.

Natchez schools could easily qualify for "Universal Feed"; it means all students in the district are able to eat free; it just takes someone in administration to apply w/ the State of Mississippi and USDA. There is a lot of paperwork involved in the start up process; but it is a great program in the long run. The Child Nutrition Department is given a certain amount of money to run on (according to enrollment, need, etc. from USDA and the State of Mississippi), commodities to use, etc. I could go on and on; but I can say I have seen it in action and it works great!

How much will the total renovation cost?
Will the NPD be able to control/eliminate crime in the area where families/people will feel safe so they will be able to watch movies in the theatre?

OMG! try to do something good for someone and the gripes have to start. I am proud the NFD helped save the fish and help the man, and if it's such a big deal then charge him $1.00; (I'll even pay for it myself, I can send my address to Mr. Holloway), that should satisfy the Mississippi Attorney General and Mr. Holloway. I would think they would have more pertinent issues to deal with than this.
bulldozer, you remind me of a old gripe that is never happy and is mad because someone does something to help out a fellow person. Maybe you should lend a hand to help out a person instead of finding fault with others that help someone.
Again, thank you NFD for going above and beyond your duties to help someone out. It is appreciated by a lot of us.

Actually in Texas a lot of people are cutting the central a/c off and buying window units to save $$ on electricity bills.
As far as $3000.00 in shoes, I have 53 pairs of shoes, and enjoy wearing them. I have 3 pair of Manolo Blahnik that range from $725.00, $895.00, to $1495.00; and a pair of Gucci sandals that are $1295.00; so $3000.00 is not a lot of money for shoes. I am not bragging, I just wanted to set the record straight that $3000.00 is not a lot of $$ for shoes.
Besides, it doesn't matter what the cost of anything was; they were not theirs to take; stealing them was wrong.
