Wish the team the best but I don't like football. Went when in high school but now I don't have to -- I don't.

You know that the ones I find fascinating on this blog are the ones for Obama. The reason I say this is that they accuse the "others" of being Fox followers or narrow minded without the ability to think. If these people would look at the Fox channel for a 24 hour period and jot down on paper who they look at they would find that there are Democrats, Liberals, non-liberals, Republicans and other views. All are encompassed and all have a chance to be heard. You can't decide it on one program or one event. Yes, I watch the channel and I see how limited the liberal questioners question. They repeat from show to show the same idealistic ideas and still expect different answers. Thank God I have the ability to be open minded and listen to all and make my own decisions as God deemed it my God-given privilege. I don't agree with all either party stands for, but I look for what is best for me, my family, and my country. The people of Germany were blind-sided by the on-coming of the man who tried to cleanse the Country of undesirables. The people posting here are narrow minded in that every time we disagree with them, we are either blue-haired or gullible or some such stupid term. God does work in mysterious ways and if Obama does get elected, don't expect me to give willingly to someone who does not earn it. And to the restaurant worker allowed to wear a badge for a candidate, any candidate, shame on the owner. The best way to lose business is talk politics or religion. God bless all and God bless the United States of America because the good ole USA needs God.

I voted No on this poll. We each have the opportunity to vote on Tuesday and we should vote for the best to serve America. I don't think anyone listens to what candidates (in all areas) say. What do they say -- Absolutely nothing -- One person cannot change anything and that is for local, state and national. How many times to we here them spout A B C D and when they win and get there we here no MORE! Each has to work with others to get anything passed or even brought up. I pray for the best to win in all elections and as was said earlier, God is leader, God will prevail regardless of the soul placed in a high office; God knows.

I do feel sorry for those who have to win by fraudulent means and there will be a bunch of contested elections come Wednesday. Politics is politics is politics.

Have we grown so lazy as to have to have everything at our doorstep? People -- with economics they way they are, it costs very little to drive and take your recyclables to the drop off point. You will not be doing this every day or even every week. You gather to the point it makes sense to drop it off. There are many businesses on Highland and if you happen to use them, then is when you would drop off the stuff. WE have to be the ones to make the effort for this to work. Don't blame anyone else if you are too indifferent to the cause -- YOU will either make it work or help to make it a failure. You choose. You can make the difference and you can also find a way to do it positively.

Negative campaigns is enough, but being negative about everything in our city, county and state is enough!

I am for it. I don't have that kind of money but I have seen places that cater to the travelers and, believe me, they shop the areas where they travel too. I am a believer in trying new things and I think Butch has done lots for Natchez. Many people don't like Butch for whatever reason they can find, but, for those of you who don't like the "rich", get a life. America is the place where any of us can be rich if you have the know-how. Me, I am just a poor person living in the greatest city. I can think of no where I'd rather call home. We have a beautiful community and downtown is building up. We are trying to get new things and money into a "rural" community. We aren't a big city with lots of opportunities, let's get what we can, when we can and enjoy it. And, my friends, exploit the ideas and come up with even more ways Natchez can add to its boundaries.

This is one that I would recommend. Save up the cost and go as it is something that is very interesting, educational, and plain delightful. I understand that they have made recordings of some or all and would love to get it in DVD format. Does anyone know if this is available?

What we need from all candidates is biographical information and it must be truthful. What we need is straight talk on their ideas and what they would like to implement. If necessary, point to specific legislation and how a candidate voted but do it in the proper way. Eliminate outside parties from the slinging mud tactics. It must be the candidate and in the candidates own voice -- no voice overs or professional speakers. Line up their good points and put that information out. If a candidate voted in a "not for the public good" fashion, let that be brought out but in a positive note. We need to know how a candidate stands on issues and we need blunt force truth.

On Should candidates say negative things about their opponents?

If you think Obama will be best for the USA and if he gets elected, all I can say is be prepared for the "I told you so" and don't get angry each time it is said. As I have said all along, neither of these two are my choice for president, but will take McCain over Obama. Can you imagine what will happen if Obama goes and the Dems get a 60 person majority over the Republicans. Everything that the Democrats wish to get done will fly through the Congress (which is the body to look out for) and no one will be able to do anything. The Republicans will not even have enough people to make the Dems take a stop and listen. America is on the downhill slide and I pity the children and the ones coming up afterwards. They will not know anything about our government because it will have changed so much and not be what our Founding Fathers saw for this country.

I must say our Republic has lasted as a democracy much longer than any other country but it is now in for a downfall.

Oh for the far away person who typed in all caps (shouting) and says we are color blind -- I don't care about the color of the man but I do care what he spouts and what his record is. We have a lot of blind people and deaf people and stupid people! But don't call me a racist! In fact, just because a person of color is not liked does not make the next person a racist!

Some people just like to bash. Republicans bash Democrats, Democrats bash Republicans.

Have you ever really looked at it through non-partisan eyes? Neither party is perfect. Usually when you vote for a candidate, unless you are ignorant and blind of your surroundings, you vote for the person best suited for the job. Look at the person running for a position and forget the party for a change. Many times you will not see much difference in either. Then the party comes along and you have to judge the party for it stands for.

I have never read the full platforms of either Republicans or Democrats and would be put off by both if I did read all of it. Maybe that will be something I will do this week or next, who knows.

I have to agree with OGD -- I remain off more than on these days because everyone is just hateful. People, we need to learn to debate with hatred, without bias, and with facts. I can't remember facts so I will not get that involved. Just remember, whichever man wins the Presidency, we must respect the office, maybe not the officeholder; and, we will all need to keep the I Told You So's to a minimum (maybe! LOL)

Thank God I live in America and I pray we uphold our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Amen!
