Mrs. Jones,

You have failed to realize that this is the Natchez Democrat, not the Franklin County newspaper. I thought the story was interesting, and was a good piece of the bicentennial. Writing in detail about every event would take up too much space, now wouldn't it? Also, there was a preview story about the bicentennial the day before which listed all the other events that would be taking place.

Great job, Mr. Madden, and keep your articles just the way they are!

"The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" starts at 7:30 Thursday-Saturday, not 7.

I am so excited about the weekend events! I love the NLCC. :)

This is my favorite annual event for Natchez. It is great for the city and the presentations are always fun and informative!

I agree, sophie... I'm SURE that these two have watched WAY worse things on t.v... I mean, try the news! You can see more there than this comedic musical production is going to show!

The families of the performers know that it is a theatrical production and has nothing to do with real life. They are able to appreciate it from an aesthetic point of view. I guess SOME people just can't separate things in their mind...

Oh, just in case you didn't know this either- Santa Claus is not real!

Sorry if I busted your innocent little naive bubble.

Hey, guess what? If you don't want to see the show... ... ... NOBODY CARES! That is your business. Trust me, the place is not going to shut down just because a few stuck up idiots decide to boycott.

However, if you insist on badmouthing the cast and/or show, this shows that you are a pathetic person who needs to get over yourself. These people volunteer for the community's entertainment. Also, if there are kids involved, so what? It keeps them out of trouble! The arts are a great way for young people to learn and grow. Would you rather them driving drunk or doing drugs?

The show is meant to be a COMEDY. It is not a petition to make prostitution legal! In fact, in the show, the whorehouse gets shut down!

The Natchez Little Theatre is a wonderful institution in our community. Do you know how many people from across the country come to Natchez JUST TO SEE THE SHOWS? Obviously, Layne is doing something right. NLT is Mississippi's oldest AND most active community theatre.

So, dislike the show if you want. But keep your small-mindedness to yourself.

Simple solution: If you hate the newspaper so much, quit reading it. Of course then you wouldn't be able to constantly post your negative comments that sometimes have no validity or reason. I bet some of you sit around just waiting for a new article to appear so you can find something (or make up something) wrong with it. 3 cheers and a gold star for you. Now grow up. Thanks!

I think this is a great opportunity for our area, and I hope many businesses take advantage of it!
