“I do have a little concern with him making that large amount of bail and where his whereabouts could be, so I’m going to call him in,” Vess said. “If I’d have known he would make (bail,) I would have put in some conditions along with it such as a curfew to restrict his movements to Adams County.”
...too little, too late.
“I certainly hope that Mr. Rounds shows up or there will be some serious consequences for him and the bondsman, too. But I’ve got every confidence that this man will show up on Feb. 2.”
...assuming he can be found...alive.

I don't understand why everyone is in an uproar about this. This family is just that...a family. These parents are giving their children experiences that they will never forget. They have decided to spend the next 1 1/2 years together exploring the country. Most parents don't want to spend 1 1/2 hours with their kids. They would rather buy them the latest video games and hook it up in their rooms just to avoid them, and noone is calling child protective services on them. I think if more people spent this kind of time with their families, you wouldn't have the problems in society today...one of which is people trying to tell you what you can and can't do with your free time. Get real people...I bet these kids are having the time of their lives. I think what they are doing is awesome.

"Subsidies to keep farms alive may be nice and all but I'd rather the government not use tax dollars to prop up failing businesses."
No, you're right! Let's just send our tax dollars out of the country every time we have to import products that can be grown or made here. That makes a lot of sense!
FYI: Just so there's no confusion...that was sarcasm!

3on23, I try not to stereotype people. It's amazing that I can say three words on here, and several people can make it mean so much. I think blessing the riders is a wonderful idea, but I draw the line when it comes to blessing inanimate objects and animals.
redrider1, I know that a lot of people don't agree with me, but that's okay. I'm not asking you to agree with me, I'm stating my opinion. It was my understanding that is why the ND made it possible for us to comment.

Salt, stone and sand are not going to keep your vehicle from skidding. Don't get a false sense of security from these things....slow down!
