just cut all the county vehicles that get taken home by employees. that would save a lot of money.

Wow! are we surprised that the decision was to sell? No way. That has been this man's purpose since he got here. As far as the "minority" employees that would lose their retirement. Have you taken a look lately MR Phillips? Since so many employees have left it is only the long time employees who are left for the most part. You don't even have enough staff to properly take care of patients now. So when this "minority" staff leaves to finish up their retirement somewhere else we will see you and the other management trying to figure out how to work and take care of patients. That should be interesting. So many people are leaving even those who have not been here long because they are tired of being treated the way you have treated them. Too much work, not enough help!!

Gee, wouldn't it be nice if they were required to donate to charity. Just think what that money would do for Humane Society and their CAMPAIGN to get enough money to build a new facility.

The care given by the staff is good. Sometimes it takes longer to do something for the pt because of the short staffing but the staff on the units really do care about their pts. As for the meetings, todays comments are only from middle management people. There are no comments from the general employee population. How interesting is that. Also, the meetings did not help the staff who are close to retiring because basically they will have to move out of town to get another job with a pers facility.

So the board of supervisors is allowing phillips to pick the company to do the study. Well, we already know he is in favor of selling the hospital so who do you suppose he will pick?Someone who will come in and do his bidding. What happened to him coming in here to get the hospital through bankruptcy? Has all that been changed because now everyone is in such a hurry to get it sold. if the real cuts were made that phillips knows need to be made, the monthly savings would be tremendous. That would allow the hospital to get back on a solid footing and maybe work things out without being sold. But, apparently the plan is already in the works to sell so they can get out of PERS retirement.

Sounds like we do not need a consultant who will be getting a percentage of the sale price as part of his fee. That sounds pretty suspicious to me. We also do not need one who is going to tell us the value of the hospital. Unless of course the board has already made up its mind to sell regardless of what anything shows.

bland, why can't anyone on the board explain why Phillips is being paidso much money to run the hospital? A good administrator could have been hired without using a management company. Also, why are there still doctors on the payroll? If all of these people were taken off the payroll that would free up a lot of money. Maybe then NR would have a chance to get back on its feet. I think it is all part of a carefully orchestrated plan to get NR out of PERS. Phillips is not running the hospital, he is running it in the ground by running off all the staff, leaving areas without adequate help.

My problem with this election is not that Obama is 50% white and 50% black. My problem is that he has a problem putting his hand over his heart for the NATIONAL ANTHEM, he was going to church with a minister who was preaching hatred until it was found out and then he stopped going. This tells me there is a fundamental problem with his morals and that is not who i want to support, i don't care what color he is. My other problem is that all these black people who never vote all of a sudden they are all getting out to vote. Not because he might be the best candidate but because he is BLACK. Where have they been all these other years when election time came around. I saw people at my polling place that looked like they had been dragged in by the cat, the way they were dressed and acting.
