Oldschool shouldn't joke about something that's no laughing matter! That's the way I feel about it. :)

All of the above said restaurants are all good places to eat! My daughters love Chik-Fil-A AND we also love to hop on over to I-Hop, except the fact is we have to HOP about 2 hours to get to one! LOVE THE FOOD there and all their choices of delicious syrups. Mmm!

Thanks, dixiemama...I forgot! I, too, met Kris Kristofferson and have his autograph as well. Again, my two friends and I went to the Ramada Inn to his room. Actually, I was DARED to. (Remember do or dare?) I knocked on his room's door and his security guard answered and saw that it was me, a young teenaged girl at the time, and Kris came to the door. He had obviously just gotten out of the shower for all he had on was a towlel wrapped about his waist and his hair was wet! I stood there with my jaw to the floor almost forgetting the fact that I had been dared to do this. I finally got enough strength to ask for his autograph and got it. Just a few short years before that, I had seen he and Crystal Gayle in concert in Alexandria. There are others I've seen in concert, but can't remember them all. My age is catching up with me! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Oh yea. I was working at M.M. Ullmans on Main Street back in the day, when out of the blue there walked in Meredith Baxter-Burnie(msp?). I did NOT recognize her at first. One of my co-workers had to tell me who she was. She had on ragged blue jeans, her hair didn't look like it had been brushed, nor did she have on a smitching of make-up!
Wifetoone...We must have been typing our comment at the same time awhile ago! Yours posted just moments before mine...LOL!

Ralph Waite, father of the old show from my childhood, "The Waltons". He and some of his crew visited our church one Sunday morning while filming in Natchez. I was singing in the choir when I noticed them coming in. I didn't get to meet him at that time but I really wanted to get his autograph. That same afternoon a couple of friends and I went to the motel where they were staying, supposedly, and there he was in the motel's parking lot. I ran to him and finally was able to get his autograph! He looked at me and asked,"Weren't you in the choir this morning?" I was flabbergasted! He had recognized ME! Needless to say, I also have a pic of me and Mr. Waite, along with my two friends that were with me that day! That was back in the early '80's.

Is this the Charles that worked at Ullman's during the 70's?
Even if it's not, please accept my deepest sympathy.
