My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. Uncle Mac is a big part of my childhood memories growing up out there. I used to love to ride in the back of his truck with Denise to go check wells. That little black truck was the first vehicle I ever drove (not very well I might add!), picking potatoes out of the field! Love to you all.

My mother has always told me about Mr. Whitt driving a hearse in high school, and having snakes and other exotic animals. My father, Roger Spring, who passed away in 1983, also played in the My Generation band with him. My mother said he was the best organist she had ever heard. I wish to send condolences to the family on behalf of my mother, Sandra Spring Walker. I am sure there is another "Generation" band playing a set in heaven today!

Way to go Haley and Carl! I am so proud of you guys! I hope to see you at the torch run! Thanks for everyone who came out. The Special Olympics is so important to these kids and young adults and I am so blessed to have been a part of the Track and Field games going on 8 years. Tommie Jones is just an outstanding human being who works non-stop to ensure participants from Natchez,Woodville, and Fayette, as well as the life skills center have every opprotunity to succeed. Thanks T. Tommie for being such a great mentor! Good luck to you guys at State! Especially to all of "Bourke's Bratz!"!!!LOve you guys!!!!!!!!

I didn't win, I have to drive about 20 minutes out of my way because the road I live on is under water, and with gas going on $4....but it is a sight to behold when the sun sets on the Mighty Mississippi and you can see it from the privacy of your front porch with a handful of friends and neighbors and no noise from cars passing by!

Great letter Kati. I know how dedicated you and Trey have been to the high school and how emotionally tied he is to all those boys. I commend you for standing up for what is right for those guys. I have seen first hand how dedicated Coach Joe is to the sport, having called several powerlifting meets here in town for him, and know that everyone on that team is touched by his dedication. I hope all of this "drama" only brings the NHS powerlifters more attention and makes them work even harder. Proud of you guys!

My prayers are with Zachary's family. I teach at West across the hall from his class, and it is going to be hard not to see his smiling face. He was always so happy. Those at West I have talked to are completely devastated, because Zachary was everybody's "buddy". If there is anything the family needs, please contact any member of the West family.
Love and Prayers,

Rusty, words cannot express the sorrow we feel for you right now. We know your boys (and Nicky) were the light of your life, and we only hope God will ease your pain over time. Nicky and I have had numerous conversations on what it is like to be the only girl, and what our brothers meant to us, and I know she thought the world of Jake. Your family will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
