EnK – It sounds as though you are very intelligent. I will definitely have to read the information that you suggested.
I thought that I heard talk of some states wanting to get more money if some states turned it down. If that happens, the same amount will probably have to be paid back.
I will be honest the way it sounds this stimulus package is not going to work. It does sound like socialism. I am also very worried about what will happen with the Healthcare Reform. I have heard talk this can cause doctor’s to turn down your medical needs if they don’t think that you can be “saved” anyway. For example if an 80 year old gets cancer, they won’t treat it because he will die soon anyway. Is this true?
I look forward to reading more of your intelligent posts and getting more “educated” about this and other things.

No reb, I dont suffer from WGS either. But I know there are alot of people who suffer from MAWSGS (My Ancestors Were Slaves Guilt Syndrome). This article just reinforces that "oh my ancestors were slaves feel sorry for me and give me a handout" syndrome.
Get up and work. My family has worked hard for everything we own. I see no reason why blacks and whites alike that are very capable of working suck off of the government. I for one, couldnt live with myself if I did. But I guess I have a Conscious.
These people that are about there having babies and more babies and cant afford the first one they had remind me of a bunch of zoo animals! That is what they are is freakin ANIMALS!!!! ACT HUMAN PEOPLE!!

I have a question. Even if we as a state do not accept the stimulus money, when the government gets ready to make us pay it back, won’t they tax everyone in the US to get it back? I just do not quite understand the way that part works. I know that someone will have to eventually pay it back. I am just hoping the government does not come up with another way to tax all US citizens to get it back, even the ones in the States that did not take any of it.
I am open to any explanations of how this works.

fonkeytowngirl - I was not saying a thing about which president got us in this mess that we are in. I thought the same things when Bush was in office. There were many things that he could have done better, and I am sure we will think the same thing about Obama. I don't care who is President but all it takes is a little common sense.
Sentas - Yes, we are in an economic crisis, but some of the ideas presented are ways of saving money! They could have been used years ago to save money!
I for one did not vote for Obama for my own personal religious beliefs about abortion, but I do hope for the sake of all Americans especially my children that he does do a good job. I hope and pray that this bill will help the American people in some way. I am just very doubtful that we will see the economic turn-around people are thinking we will from this bill. I would like someone to tell me exactly how they think this bill is going to help - maybe that is the part I am missing.

Anonymouscoward – You want more people to think like frogprincenessntz – I do to because then we would be in a lot better shape as a country than we are now.
She stated nothing about getting rid of the undesirables just the people that are out there mooching off of the government and using OUR tax dollars to buy and use drugs. That would make a big slash in the public assistance money. There are plenty of people out there that are very capable of getting a job but what’s the use when they can get paid to sit at home and use drugs??
It already costs way too much money to feed and house our criminals, like she states, put them in tents and make them eat bread and water. Because of the extent of forensics and technology that we have now, hardly ever does an innocent person get convicted. And bouncing a check IS AGAINST THE LAW!! Why should a murderer or drug dealer or child molester or anyone who breaks the law be able to sit in an air conditioned building and watch tv?? MAKES NO SENSE!!
We should certainly make all illegal aliens become US Citizens or they can get out! Our tax dollars should not go to people who are not even citizens of the US. Once again, MAKES NO SENSE!!
Anonymouscoward – How do you even know how she is, to state that she suggests the country do something about everyone who is not like HER? She may think that some of the above things are important but that they need to be handled in a different way than presently done.
And about the disability check, you have no idea what she goes thru everyday and what she may be facing at this time. She sits at home and takes care of sick people everyday, not only because she chooses to, but because she has to, and she surely doesn’t get paid for it. So before you start pointing fingers and judging what others may be going thru or their character you MAY WANT TO THINK TWICE.
