every comment on here does make for some interesting reading, which brings to my mind about 7 years ago my husband and i were gathering info on businesses that we could open to keep kids of this age busy or try to keep them busy, and were met with brick walls, people saying "you can't do that" it will cause to much conflict" there are to many "gangs" that would try to hang out!. and would ruin your business!...I just want to think that Adults not just parents can make a difference!! There needs to be a place these kids can go, that is just for this age group, say from 10-16. i know church and school activities help a lot but then you have some time when they need adult supervision without their parents persay a responsible adult that is a parent anyway i think the smarter of you get my drift..lol...i have rambled enough, a place for them to go and do what they like to do (other than breaking and entering and theft)
The bowling alley is the only place they have to go, and it is over run by older kids, we have 2 kids still at home, and they get so bored, because we don't let them go "out" with friends so to speak, we go places that we can all go togeather, and around this area it is the bowling alley..we will not drop them at the movies, or bowling alley, i know that you need to trust your children, but you also need to know your child. i know single parents have a tough time, and i am no bleeding heart, and i am not anyone special, but i know a few kids that are called thugs and gang members and bad and whatever..my husband told my 14 year old son that if he even thought about the word "gangmember" he would never see the light of day! you just gotta know my hubby!! he caught them watching gang members (lol) they are jokes) in our area on you tube...it is ridiculous. any way sorry to rant lol but, us Adults need to buck up and help them get something going in this community, i think if enough Parents and Adults get togeather we can come up with something..

i knew it was in fact a tornado, i was in the big mall where sears used to be across for the hospitol, and walked out of one place, and was commenting on how quite it was, and just then the wind picked up and the misty rain started swirling and i actually started running back to the building i came out of, and before i got about 20 feet i heard the train sound and saw a huge bright purple light, up towards the hospitol and i knew. it sounded just like a train roaring down the track...

welcome patrick! perhaps you might jump the river over to the vidalia dixie youth ballfield and watch the tournament saturday morning, or friday night for the regular games, i know sports in this area are hectic and not everyone can be in the paper, anyway you are invited.

it is a blessing that no one was injured when this happened, and i think that the guys that clean them up in the aftermath risk their lives as well. I for one am very proud of our little fleet, thanks guys job well done!

simply apply the "no Swarm rule" 1 individual allowed in certain businesses at any time just like a hospitol one visitor at a time use the buzzer on the door thing..lol will keep the posse at bay and then deal with the person who has the legit reason for being there. wow ! that sounded to simple.
