NtzMom55 they also are encouraging locals to find shelter with friends and relatives. Quit being so negative. They're doing best they can with a situation that changes every moment.

Read old School...the article says up to 6 yrs. of age. I would hope you could "sacrifice" 6 yrs of your vehicles life for the life of your child.

Well as a Natchez resident I too have experienced the local lack of service issue. From the well noted issues at WalMart to the downtown tourist places like the Pecan place I am horrified at the lack of interest in serving the people. When is this town going to wake up - it's the people spending their money at that store that helps pay their salary. But unfortunately that is now the new mindset of our future...we Owe the employees for their laziness, rudeness and "it's all about ME" attitude. These issues are in all our stores...from western stores, restaurants, fast foods, our newest hardware store...nobody wants to help you anymore - Oh by the way I am still waiting on pizzas I ordered - more than 4 YEARs ago!!!!

Where I work was getting involved with the Ministrial Alliange Group that had the Food Bank. Next thing we knew the UWay had taken over and the lady that was instrumental in getting the Food Bank up and running was gone. I knew this ladys heart was for this calling....just don't know why the UWay took over. Personally I think like everything in Natchez it became a power thing. However now the UWay realizes it is beyond their capabilities.

Hope I'm wrong but not much faith in NPD. Place where I work was robbed...not much help there...and acted like they didn't really care.
Know for a fact Trinity bus is always being vandalized...wonder why they don't store it someplace safe? As far as kids being kids...there is a difference between paper on a field and destruction to vehicles. They know better but CHOOSE the latter.

Also sounds like Ms. Seibert is afraid someone might make money that HS can't get their hands on. I believe there is a saying "save a gnat but swallow a camel" - that is the HS! They nit-pick over simple things but overlook the end results for Natchez. Am I missing something here....who cares about the gutters!!!

Guess I hit the store at the wrong time but I'll never step foot in there again. When I entered the store another lady was being waited on so the clerk (dark haired lady?) just looked at me. She never said hello or I'll be with you in a moment..nothing. After the other shopper left out I walked around the store 2 more times trying to decide upon items and again she never asked me if she could help or even acknowledged I was in the store. A older couple came entered the store and I was shocked at how this woman completely changed. She offered to help them...offered them a sample of coffee...anything they needed let her know! I do not shop in places that "snub" me or make a person feel inferior. No I was not dressed nasty, did not act nasty - I actually smiled when I went in! Shop in Natchez they say!!!! Not for pecans...guess I'll just go pick them up unders my own trees next time!
