This is not a rip on anyone, does anybody remember the article that ND ran on Domestic Violence. The simple ugly truth is painfully apparent, a person (male OR female) falls in love with someone that we see as a "hot head" and no matter what anyone says,they will stay with that person regardless of what happens.Renata apparently loved Marquis and he did not know how to give that affection back except with a fist and a gun. Am I being to hard on this maybe,but this is the vicious circle that we see all to often.

I love the way we as the public like to slam law enforcement when a mistake is made. So when somebody leaves a high dollar piece of electronics (GPS, sat. radio,or sound system) in the car that's okay, but a cop who has to be ready at a drop of a dime and leaves them in his car in his yard now we say he's a thug where is the logic in that.

Natasha, if they cut those, then we would have 8-15 children in a classroom. As along as the ADA is up then the schools get federal funding when it is down, the money from Uncle Sam dries up big time.

People, he is dead. Whatever happened, is all moot at this point, he was the best qb that I have ever seen in all of the SWAC. There is an old saying, "he who is among without sin cast the first stone". Whatever the circumstances are in the shooting let the police and medical examiners make that call.As far as his extramarital affairs are concerned that is between him and the good Lord.

Adamscounty 64, tell me what is the problem you have had with police? You sound like you have had a run in with some that did not go the way you wanted.

ND please do not disable comments on this one. From what the story read, the officer was attempting to make an arrest and Mr. Ellard resisted and attacked the officer,right then his brother jumped in and started fighting the officer. OK so how was that brutality in defending his life. just thought I would ask.

How can you tell a 66 year old how to spend his money. He has got more experience than ALL of us, he has been here long enough to have real good common sense.Sir I wish you all of the best and hope that one day I will be as lucky as you.

We need to get on to the judges and tell them to do more than slap them on the wrist. If not somebody will be picking up a defenseless child who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Please help our community.

Mr mojo, DV does not have a typical male offender always,women are just as guilty as men are. I havae read up on this and it is very close to even the stats on domestic and spousal abuse between the sexes.
