kmbjd40: once again you prove your ignorance. You state that I am politically liberal. Again you are wrong. And again you demonstrate why we Independents will have no home with the GOP. You have no mind for anyone but those who babble the same tripe back to you that you whine.
And, yes, I know the diff. between debt and deficit. Most 10 year old know that.
They also know that at the end of Bush's term the National Debt was $9,985 trillion. It has gone up ~2 trillion since Obama took office. You can't blame Obama for the whole 12 trillion since he didn't spend the first $10 trillion!! Duh. Nor did invent the war in Iraq or cause the debacle in Afghanistan, but he still has to oversee the costs, etc etc etc.
But again I ask, why when the GOP ran the Congress AND the White House both was there never ever a balanced budget submitted, NOR was there ever a reduction in the debt?? Why??
For that matter, on a more local level, why isn't Haley CUTTING taxes to stimulate the Mississippi economy?
When Bush took office the debt was 5.6 trillion and when he left it was almost 10 trillion. He doubled the debt.
Where was your GOP hand wringing, tea-bagging, and fiscal whining then? You GOP are a bunch of phoneys. You want to point fingers but won't look in the mirror when you do it.
That is why we Independents will NOT align with the GOP. You are a party in the wilderness.

It's all about the parents.
If the students are failing there is no one to blame but the parents. If they were doing their job, the kids would be doing well in school.
When was the last time you went to the library on a Saturday and couldnt get in due to overcrowding?
School day doesn't end at 3:00. Turn off the cell, the Wii and the TV and turn on education.
Failing schools are the fault of the parents. No child should fail regardless of the school.
Learning is a 365/24 experience. If your child is failing, look in the mirror.
YOU are to blame.

especially, kmbjd, when you are totally wrong... I have never in my life been a Democrat.
That is what is wrong--well ONE thing anyway--with the GOP. Anyone who disagrees with the kool-aid mentality is immediately branded a Lib Dem.
That's why the GOP will lose again in 2010. No reason at all for we Independents to vote GOP. You OFFER nothing.
BTW, the GOP run Congress and Bush ran up the debt we have right now. 1992-2008 the GOP ran congress.

Why isn't Haley cutting taxes?
Why is Haley stimulating Mississipp's economy by cutting taxes.
Paying taxes to Jackson takes dollars away from small business puts people out of work.
Mississippi should CUT TAXES to stimulate growth.

Privatize the libraries, the fire department, the schools, the highways, the airports.
Kick government out of everything.
No more government run colleges. Make them all private!
Privatize it all. Privatize all the airport security. Privatize all the bridges and tunnels! Privatize all the railroads.
No more medicare and medicaid. Privatize it all! Old people fend for yourself! Old people--get off the public welfare system you leaches!
We have become a socialist nation! Take our country back from the socialists!

This house is a national treasure and needs to be protected. Tom Vaughn has relatives who could assist in the preservation of the property.
It didn't have to be left to this state of ruin.
The city has every legal right to force him to do something about it--AND IT SHOULD!!
Natchez itself is a historic treasure. If you don't like that, and don't want to be part of the historic preservation, might I suggest you move someplace with no historic preservation rules--like Ferriday.
The US Supreme Court ruled that private property can be seized by government for the public good. I hope Natchez will do what is right.

please--this contest is all about race. It's what all elections are about.
Few white people in Adams county will vote for a black man. Period. Few black people in Adams county will vote for a white man against a black man. Period.
