When I went to school and misbehaved the belt of ruler corrected the problem. Today the belt or ruler is defined as child abuse. Disrespected, poor performance and a total disregard for rules and regulations complete dominate the school environment. Some teachers a just fed up with students that refuse to comply with the rules on dress and classroom rules. Students are suspended only to return with the same agenda, clowning and creating a disturbance in the classroom. Of course not all the students participate in this destructed behavioral. But the ones that do participate make the situation bad for all of us. If the system does not find a tougher discipline policy to deal with the problem I can’t see the hiring of a new administer making a difference?

Mother

It’s your day
It’s your time
In pain you bought me to the world
And filled my life with love

You held me close from the start
Close to your heat
You kept me near
Because you are Mother Dear

You told me right from wrong
Never left me on my own

When I was bad and sad
Your love and affection never stop
You demonstrated love and many ways
When life was up
When life was down
You were always around

As I grew
You stood by
You held my hand
Told me to keep my head up high
As life pass by
You wanted me to fly

You gave me smiles
Embraces and kisses
With you nothing was missing

You gave me excellent advice
Directions and courage
To help me on my way
Your compassion made this day

Happy Mothers Day

The death of Frank Melton is a sad strike against the judicial system in America. This man died fighting charges against him for destroying a crack house. This is a clear example of how the criminal justice has fail America. The money wasted on his trial could have been used putting the real criminals in jail. But of course the system will slap them on the hand for a few years and put them back on the streets to repeat the crime.

I am not surprise when the newspaper print stories about crime involving black American some people act like black American are the only ones committing crime. They also act like black American are the only ones on the welfare role. Are these people blind are just racist? There is crime in every community in this country. Mass killing of entire families, killing and molestation of children, crime against the elder and the beat plays on and on. Why not show some sympathy/understanding for these people and stop acting like skin color is the problem. Pray for them.

The amount of time this problem has existed makes me believe there is something wrong with how our elected officials have handled the situation. Talk, talk and no decisive actions. Is money the problem or is there a problem with the tax paying citizens who lives in the effect area? Can we all agree that the people living in the area are negatively impacted and the city officials are just talking and talking year after year and nothing is getting done?

I worked Carol Ann for a few years and found her to be a very fun loving person. My heart goes out to her family and I pray God takes care of them. God is great.

Mr Washington was my teacher at Blumfield School. I knew him for many years. He was alway polite, friendly and a wonderful gentleman to talk with. I will miss seeing and charting with him in Wal Mart. May God be with his family and keep them strong. Prior Student
