Voting "Yes" for recreation will just be another mis-guided step into the dim future for our town. Bringing in tornaments will not turn the economy around. As far as our children having new fields to play on, they are practically new every time ball season rolls around (thanks to the league officials). I have two small children (10 & 19 mos) the oldest plays fast-pitch & basketball and the 19 mo. old is becoming fond of playing ball with here big sis. However, do not see the need to spend over 5 mill. on a rec complex that will be used 1/3 of the year. My vote i still No.

"belle", I would expect nothing less than for you to homeschool someone...I can also imagine that you would not let your child play on the playground with someone of a different race.

It makes me very angry when people speak of Ntz High as a "warzone" and say "what do you expect" and things of that nature. The Democrat is VERY BIASED when it comes to the NASD. When all is well (95% of the time) at the high school no one knows about it, but let an isolated incident take place and the school district turns into a third-world country. The majority of students at the high school are very well-mannered, fun loving and motivated students. As with ANY group of people (I am sure there are even some at YOUR workplace) there are always some that won't do the right thing. But, that does not make it right for you people to throw insults and make ASSumptions about these CHILDREN. Remeber, when you make these remearks you are talking about someones child, and what if the shoe was on the other foot?

Mr. Edwards-
I must say that I am quite dissapointed with your picks. However, I am more dissapointed with your reasonings. To put Block ahead of Natchez High is ludicrous. To put Ferriday on the list is ridonkulous and to not have ACCS on the list is on the verge of disrespectful. Not that you care, but here is MY top 5:
1. Trinity- enough said
2. Natchez High- maybe not the toughest schedule thus far, but they have put up points in bunches and continue to fight every down.
3. Centerville- Always tough and love a good fight.
4. ACCS- after starting the season 2-1 they have eclipsed total wins for the last 2 seasons and are on the up and up.
5. Block- just because they have a better record than Huntington, Vidalia and Ferriday I put them at 5.
It might be fun one day to put a poll on the website and let the fans vote on the top 5.

I will say that I am in favor of speed bumps. However, the new "bump" on Lindburg is MOUNTAINOUS!!!! You literally have to come to a "rolling stop" to get over the damn thing. It's ridiculous!
On Speed humps are benefit to no one
