Looks a lot like last years from what I remember. I wish someone would design one more colorful and youthful looking. Just my opinion. I am not saying it does not look nice. Just something different would be nice.

Can anyone please explain this quote to me.... members of the recreation board felt the budget would be better utilized if more of it were spent on upgrades at county parks and less was spent on local sports organizations, Lazarus said. I am not fully understanding what is being said here. What about the park that the majority uses, Duncan Park? Does the city pay for the up keep on it or does it fall under the "recreation board"? Providence is way back over where IP use to be correct? I did not realize that anyone used it. It is back in the middle of nowhere. I would be scared to take my child there. Chester Willis is the one used by CHS, NHS, and Trinity, correct? Just seems like a lot of kids are getting the raw end of the stick.....

School supplies are much cheaper if they are bought at the beginning of the year. The article made a big deal over the 72 pencils. The cost of 72 pencils would be under $1.00 if bought today. If bought in the middle of the school year, they would cost about $6.00. It is cheaper to go ahead and buy at the beginning of the school year and not throughout.
The government should not be paying for school supplies. The person who said that the govenment forces students to go to school so they should buy the supplies. I just can't believe that someone would say that. Be proud that you live in the U.S. and were allowed to go to school and get an education.

We had a blast the years that we attended. We will be out of town this weekend and hate to miss it. If you have a chance, you should go and watch. If you have a boat, you should decorate it and ride in the flotilla. It is very fun.
