As I read the front page of the Democrat the other day I was amazed at the powers Joe Eidt claims to have. He states that he can make 5 people of different races, religions, financial backgrounds and education all agree on every issue that is brought before them. I have 5 people in my family, and we can’t all agree on the same thing all the time. He doesn’t reveal his secret, but I’m guessing that he is either a hypnotist or has some strong mind controlling drugs. In any case, he is wasting his skill on Natchez. He needs to be where he can really make some major changes! I think Natchez and Adams County would be best served by someone who doesn’t make such foolish and unattainable promises. Henry Watts has served as District 2 Supervisor for the past 4 years. He has kept his promises to the voters by voting to lower property taxes, voting no to supervisor pay raises, unnecessary spending and travel expenses. Why didn't the other supervisors vote for these things? He doesn’t even charge the county for the gas he uses in his vehicle when he is doing county business. He is trying to cut spending while bringing new business into the area.
I am not related to Henry, and I don’t know Joe Joe, but I do know that Adams County doesn’t need a magician to give us a show, we need someone who has our best interests in mind and can represent the voters in his district. I will be voting for honesty and integrity, not smoke and mirrors. I hope you do the same.

I also want to say a huge thank you for all of those who have worked tirelessly to restore our power, those who work in the hospitals, the radio stations, the police, the folks who pick up limbs and trees and everyone else who has been out to help us through this crisis. I just got power on at 3 pm on Thursday. It has been a nightmare. But I got through it. One thing you need to know, REEROD is that you have not been singled out not to receive power. There are several contributing factors as to why others around you have power and you dont. Mainly you are on different lines. While one line may be working...one next to is may not be. Also, your line may have been damaged by falling debris....Your transformer may need a special part replaced. In any case, nobody is picking on you. I know this because my father has worked for Entergy longer than I have been alive. Even now that he is retired, he is out there all day long working to get you power! You state that they should not be thanked for doing their jobs. While you are right that this is their job, and they do get paid well for it..as they should. They work 24 hours a day in any kind of weather. While you are home complaining about no lights...they are out in the storms trying to get it fixed. Also, about 95% of the people working to get power to you are from out of town, away from their homes and families, and they are also living in the same conditions as you as they are working here. If you don't think they deserve a huge thank you, then it is my guess that you are very unappreciative of any service you receive. You probably wouldn't even thank a Dr. who saved your life because he was just doing his job...or a fireman who put out the fire in your home, because that is his job and he gets paid for it. And..while you are sitting there complaining...you need to think about all these people here working will be leaving here once they are done and heading to Baton Rouge to continue doing the same thing...And there are more storms coming. You should be ashamed of yourself and say a big thank you to the next Entergy person you see!!!
On Power crews deserve a big thank you
