Zandra - i would like to compliment Juan on his basketball play! My son Austin (#20 from Monterey High) played against him several times this year and he is an outstanding player. Congrats to Juan on his season.

The Lipsey children donated their old bikes last year and were glad to do so. Also, they Lipsey children will have a wonderful Christmas no matter how much has been spent on the election and court costs. Thanks for the concern though. Rachel Lipsey

To Vernon Stevens: Talk about slapping someone in the face! Evidentally you forgot Glenn Lipsey has served his parish and state for 17 years. Glenn left to go to the state police academy on the day our oldest son turned 1 year old. He was not home for 17 weeks while he trained long hours to uphold and protect the laws of the State of Louisiana.
Mr. Stevens, you were not there when Glenn called his 12 year old daughter and told her he was on his way to New Orleans during the first days of hurricane Katrina. You did not see her cry day after day until she could talk to her daddy on the phone, which wasn't for about a week. Glenn put his life on the line every time he left on a SWAT mission. Many times he left home not knowing what kind of conflict awaited him. I could name many more times, Mr. Stevens, that Glenn has laid his life on the line for all of us. So don't give us your line of bull about Glenn boarding a plane for Iraq, he has served us at home, where he claims homestead exemption and votes in Concordia Parish. I am signing my name to his letter, I don't need to hide behind a screen name.

papa jeff: thanks for reminding everybody about Block's big game tonight. I love watching that #21 Hunter Key. Hopefully he will be the bears secret weapon in tonight's game. Go Bears! And go Hunter!
