There's nothing like a family gathering. I have several cousins that I havn't seen in over 20 years & would LOVE to see them. Several live in town. Years ago families stuck together, but these days some grow up as stangers.
The sad thing is when you get my age about the only time you see many relatives is at a funeral. When parents die siblings usually start wandering away. People should always remember when things get tough your friends usually let you down, but your family is always there for you through thick & thin.
Plummer family have a great hoilday because tomorrow might not be there!!!!!

Excellent point scars fade, but verbal abuse stays a lifetime. It's begrading & makes a woman feel they are worthless.
No good men that beat their wives usually do it where the bruises can't be seen. I've lived that with ex-son-laws. There were many times I wondered why my daughters wore long sleeves in the summer & blame myself for not being wise enough to figure it out.
I thank God everyday I have had a non violent marriage for 42 years. I also am thankful my daughters were both wise enough to get out before it was too late.

Your comment sounds like a man that has made a baby, but not willing to support it. If a man is grown enough to make babies they are grown enough to support them, that's called responsibility which seems to be something this generation was not taught!

I'm not pinting fingers at anyone. I didn't use either doctors nor did I know them. I simple said you can not say someone didn't do it because they were "nice" people. Did you live with these people & see what went on in their home? Being friends is different than living with them. This is public news that has brought interest to our community. When someone puts theirself in the public eye such as Dr. Hawkins it gives us the right to post our public comments negative or postive.

Very seldom do I disagree with you, but this in the ND not CNN, Fox or any other national news, it's local. Local news is what we are more interested in especially when a "suspected" murder has happen.

I guess I'm a simple old country hick, but I like the old life I had in Vidalia, where it was safe to cross "Main Street" with my kids & not be afraid of getting hit.
I also miss everyone waving when they pass, now everyone seems to be strangers.
It's beginning to be like it is up north, we're gradually losing our southern hospitality to modern progress.
Now I'm not saying Copeland is not a good mayor.

How many comments can actually be fact checked?

Apparently it is the people that were close to her in her last few days that are the ones pointing a finger at Dr. Hawkins.

Some of the most nortorious serial killers are "nice" people.
If Dr. Hawkins did kill his wife, which everyone for a year has suspected, he needs to be brought to justice.
As for the comments I too wonder what happenened because I know I wasn't dreaming.

This hardly worth wanting to meet & settle things. We don't need any more violence than we already have.
MayJay I agree it is amusing because in a few day everyone will be agreeing. Another thing is having usernames you don't know if you are taking to your best friend or who.

Anyone that gets a raise in pay before they go into office can afford to celebrate!
Before everyone starts congratulating him let's see what kind of job he does & if it will last longer than him many previous jobs.
I will admit he did something that he hasn't done to me in years & that was to speak & to my surprise he knew my name.
