gemccull, I never saw an article but in the legal section several months ago I saw where Wayne Krouse was getting permits or something along that line to put water powered generators in the river. Maybe you can find out more. The company he owns or works for was called Green something. Pop

Still looking for potential investors? Wake up Natchez, I still hope I am wrong, but this company smells fishy. They will get what they can from the city, county, and state then its byby suckers. Please check out this companys balance sheet.

Why does the county want to buy the I P property and then sell it to Rentech? Let Rentech buy it from I P. What's missing here? When Rentech leaves Natchez (if they ever come) that will be more land the county doesnt know what to do with.
On Will the firing and rehiring of the county attorney have a negative effect on the Rentech project?

One of the main reasons there is no parking spaces downtown is because the people who work downtown take all the spaces. Is there any type of law on the books in Natchez that would make this easier to patrol? Also, it used to be that deliverys were made to businesses in the alley ways behind the business. Not any more. U P S trucks take up one side of the street for some time to make deliverys. There are some shops you can't get more than one person at a time to pass on the sidewalk because of the merchandise that is piled up . Yet downtown merchants cry about no business. Its their own fault.

I agree with scotty, sell bricks and volunteer to keep the site clean. No more city money on non income property.
On Should a memorial be constructed at the Forks of the Road site?

Get real Ricky, If you think the hiring of two more officers is going to stop the crime thats going on in Natchez you live in a dream world. Tell the truth, you just want to get rid of Chief Mullins. The two additional officers will help but not end the crime spree. We need more neighborhood watches and citizens getting involved. Keep up the good work Chief, we are behind you.

Go Kevin, great rebuttal. Bucket has always been a racist. Ask him why he was one of the few people fired from the tire plant and the union did not fight it. Nuff said.

Wake up Natchez. These people bought the building and should be able to do what ever they want. It is their windows not Queen Mimi's. We need her and Ron like we need another Binkey. I am sick of these two people and the Historic Soc. telling the people of Natchez what they can and can not do to their own property. If the mayor can tear down the pecan factory and not be punished. then I should be able to do (with in reason) to my house what ever I want.

19 years old. Out on bond for burglary. Wheres the parents? Responsibility starts at home, not at school, church or grandparents house. It starts at home. Wake up parents and be responsible for the raising of your children. It is your JOB.

City building inspector office has four cars! This is a joke. Just what does the building inspector inspect. And according to the article there are at least four people in this department. Talk about redundancy. I have been told there is an air condition inspector who lives in Frogmore, La. who brings a City of Natchez vehicle home everyday. I don't know if this is one of the four or not. If so this needs to be stoped. Come on tax payers of Natchez , lets start going to the aldermen meetings and let out voices be heard.
