To begin with, it wasn't a "pole". The "pole" had been sawed off at about 18 inches prior to the accident. I'm sure it has something to do with the construction. And another thing, they have determined that her speed was less than the speed limit.

geauxtigers let me guess you don't drink & drive. But do you talk on your cell phone while you drive? You are just as much a danger as someone drinking. I get so tired of all the perfect people that comment on this forum. Yes it is a tragedy & yes she was a daughter, sister, mother & MY friend. To all the negative people there's always karma. I've seen it happen.

The only way taxes can be fair is if everyone pays them. Until my father-in-law said this to me last week, I had never really thought of it------Tax me at the cash register, not on my property. Renters don't pay property taxes. How unfair is that?

I'm not ashamed of anything, I wasn't there, I've done nothing wrong. I agree that there were terrible things done but the people raising the most heck are just like me, they have no clue, they've only heard stories.

I'm with you Krogers, So many people fail to see the reality of it all about to slap them in the face.
Not to mention that too many people give the office of president too much clout. The President can veto and suggest but that's all he can actually do. He is a figure head.

old hippie, yeahuhuh, and whoever wants to berate me for my opinion; why do you feel that you have to convince people to see things only your way?
old, yes acid does do damage, lots of it. It doesn't even compare to the other things you mentioned. My education about drugs is from knowing people that have ventured that direction. Your knowledge is first hand. If you don't mind admitting that you did those things, why would you care if someone said something negative. It was a smartalec way on my part to let you know how stupid it was. The same as I would do to someone today doing meth. or crack. I've seen the damage it does and it's ignorant. If there's one thing I have willpower over, it's drugs.
And, I can assure you all that when obama first came out, he himself said that he was raised muslim. I do not lie, never will and just because you say it is a lie doesn't make it so. None of us will ever know every truth to a candidate. They all tell you what they think you want to hear.
And as far as me being a haji, yes you are correct, it is not true. So what.
Yeahuhuh, how are you being patient with me? In your long explanation of entitlement you all but said that only liberal thinking people are honest. You forget, I am a democrat, have been for years. You have not proven to me that obama isn't muslim. Showing websites that are written by obama supporters does not make it true. I personally, with my own two eyes and my own two ears, before the Wright incident, witnessed obama say in a television interview that he was raised muslim and sympathized with the religion. So how can you call me a liar. And I haven't put you down for your beliefs. You have that right and so do I. I have not been rude to you but you have to me. I am not less human because I disagree with you.

That was my point exactly. yeahuhuh keeps trying to convince me that it's only the McCain supporters that are spreading lies. That is a lie in itself. I choose for whatever reason to cast my vote against obama. That doesn't put me in any stereotypical group. I am still a good person and have compassion and knowledge just like the next person. I don't feel that it's my place to try to change anyone's mind. It's just my preference. And it doesn't make me a liar as has been insinuated

The thugs are not the ones "buying the houses" They are renting from people that are slum lords. The slum lords live in nice houses in upper class neighborhoods and get paid by the government to house these people.
