Aiding and abetting ?
Harboring a fugitive ?
Seems the only charge that is reported is accessory to a crime. I have to believe that if people who don't want to turn the criminals in were to be charged and jailed for the above mentioned crimes these criminals would be getting locked up a lot quicker.

A number of years back in Africa, villages near an animal preserve were having trouble with "rogue" juvenile elephants trampling their huts and crops and in some cases the villagers themselves. As it turned out poachers had killed all the adult bull elephants in the preserve for the ivory.Another preserve that was better managed loaned a few of their adult males to the preserve with the "rogue" problem.Almost overnight the problems ceased.
The point is that until a strong male presence is instilled in the youth of today these problems will only get worse.
I would also like to add for the fellow posters on this site ,the reference to Africa was in no way a reference to race being a part of the problem.

In order for the Democrat to get the photo of the arrest being carried out someone had to call them to let them know it was about to happen. Right?

Years back whenever a troubled young man was found to be going down the wrong path they were given a choice. Go to jail or join the military.I personally know of a couple of guys that were given this oportunity and used the experience and discipline to emerge as productive citizens.Perhaps if the judicial system had this option open to them, first time offenders could be steered in another direction.Any Comments?

The first mistake the officer made was to allow the Felters to remain on the scene while the deer was being put down. How about "thanks for the call. I'll see that this is taken care of " The woman was already upset and didn't need to see what was about to occur. Secondly is the safety factor. Discharging a firearm into the ground where gravel or other hard objects can be could cause a dangerous ricochet injuring himself or innocent bystanders (then where would we be).The solution in my opinion would be to have the officer attend a sensitivity class and also further firearms training. The acting Sherriff should also give an apology to the parties involved.

I'm pretty sure the Detective that lost his life in the line of duty was Danny Burkes and it happened in 1977 on Canal Street.

My condolences go out to the family and friends of Charlie King.I worked with Charlie at Feltus Brothers and am deeply saddened by the news of another of my former co-workers passing away. You could always count on Charlie to have a kind word and a smile on his face.We might not have known it then but those were good times.Rest In Peace Old Friend.

This begs the question. He(the suspect)had to be somewhere for the nearly two weeks prior to his arrest.Rather than slam the local authorities why not the people that HAD to know he was a wanted man and did NOTHING to either clear his name (by turning him in)or bring justice to the Felton Family(again by turning him in).
