Where is the City outrage when homes are allowed to fall into disrepair in our neighborhoods? Take a ride through North Circle, Roselawn and many other parts of town. There are plenty of eyesores. Where are the tough rules for the landowners or landlords of these properties. When these homes fall into disrepair they bring down entire neighborhoods. At least Arlington is sitting on a 16 acre plot and is not really visible unless you enter Dr. Vaugh's private property. Isn't that considered trespass?

Any budget amateur knows that "unobligated balances" are vulnerable when funds are tight. There are so many areas of Natchez that needed those funds that this is an outrage. Mr. Mayor, please ask for an accounting of this issue and take action. If someone from a local college/university or even a local accountant is feeling civic pride maybe they could offer the City a crash course in "Budget 101"! Jobs would have also been created with these projects. Shame on the City.

Well said Yeahuhuh. If anyone posting watches any "news" other Fox they will have seen the release of a major study by the World Health Organization. The US falls 31st in the world for life expectancy (and 50th and even lower in many categories). The only time that life expectancy increases in the US is AFTER the age of 65. Age 65 when Medicare kicks in! Another one of those "government run" programs that seniors can't wait to participate in. Although I'm certain the conscience of all these gloom and doom posters prevents them from participating in such a socialist program.

What is about to happen with Medicare? Nothing. Another scare tactic. Everyday is Halloween for some people...

Who writes these questions? What happened to just plain "no" without commentary. "Just caring about ourselves" would not be the only reason to answer "no" "yall".

What a perfect opportunity for St. Mary's to build their educational facility on the FBC lot and continue to operate the Marketplace as a community site. Perhaps, St. Mary's could enter into a long-term lease of the Marketplace property with the City. The Marketplace is a unique property in Natchez and should be preserved.

So EKK, hearing McCain and Hatch call him a friend didn't phase your tirade against him. As to the state of life in MS and LA, you reap what you've sown. People like you have paved that path - not people like Sen. Kennedy. At your passing will we all say "He/she ranted and raved. He /she attempted to inflame all those around him/her to the politics of hate" ? 'fraid so...OR you could use your energy to do some good for someone or your community.
